On the trade-in note, well, I wouldn't sacrifice magnetic ride control for navigation, even though I do like the built-in nav.

I'm sure there is a way to achieve what you want, though, even if the GM nav upgrade isn't available. Contact Chris White at WAMS, they advertise a bunch of similar upgrades already (https://www.whiteautoandmedia.com/pr...dioprogramming) and there's always the custom programming option if the exact one for your 2024 isn't listed yet.

Sir thank you very much!!
I looked up 2 cdn gm part sites and it didn't come up.

I know that's why that 2ss in vivid orange with stripes is a deal breaker for me. Doesnt have the magneride... The price is almost the same as my camaro.. but they wasted the money on the "stripes" and the satin black mirrors/ spoilers options.

I do like the stripes, but i prefer the wing and mirrors to also be body coloured... so they optioned it with wasted money when it could've gone to functionality of the car ie the F55 option!

That's what i want to know what makes the IOS different than the IOT that makes it have built in nav?? just the sd card? If that's the only thing please let me know and I'll buy it instantly.

Like on my old 2008 jetta that came with a 6 cd head unit, i was able to swap it into my 2010 jetta using the code it came with. I know it's comparing apples to oranges, but what I'm getting to, and what my understanding is that the IOS AND IOT are the same just software variants?? And that SD card is supposed to make it BUILT in??
If that's the case then by all means the DEALER / website can take my money! LOL

Sorry brother, I don't know what the exact difference between IOS ("plus") and IOT ("premium with connected navigation") is, at least not beyond what the order book says.

It could be just the SD card, but you should have someone more familiar with the 2019+ refresh confirm.

https://www.whiteautoandmedia.com/pr...ation-upgrade/

I'd message WAMS for research into it and the required items, not sure how much use the factory navigation is worth as my 2022 doesn't have many roads but maybe they can update the maps too.

Ah, okay then OnStar subscriptions are available separately from the built-in navigation, and you typically get a few months' trial of their most expensive package when purchasing a car, then it expires and they pester you to subscribe until you give them The Call and firmly opt out of everything.

On cars without the map based navigation option, the only way to have integrated or non-phone based navigation is the "turn-by-turn navigation" feature of OnStar, which I'm sure still causes some confusion.

You don't need to buy any of OnStar's packages for your nav to work, it will be available forever (but you do have to buy map upgrades every year if you want to keep your maps fresh).

Everyone else, let's not rehash the neverending "android auto/waze/carplay is so much better" etc. debate here please.
