My 3.5L V6 averages 18mpg in my Ridgeline over 10 years of driving it... so far my 6.2L V8 get's 18mpg... I wouldn't consider that crap since I drive it very spiritedly.

The mods should just make V8 vs V6 threads a sticky.

My overall average is 22.2mpg currently. I have repeatedly dialed in just under 27mpg steady on the freeway with no wind at about 75. I usually get 350 miles from a tank.
Both my 2010 and 2015 2SS Manuals have been pretty much identical. |

Thanks OP for another potentially entertaining thread. I hope everyone keeps this going through this weekend.

who the hell cares? Do you follow people around the grocery store and make fun of them for buying the food they buy? its a persons choice to purchase what they want, when they want...

I love my V6 vert. But I'm not going to lie and say I am glad it's not an SS. I was able to purchase my 1LT with 12K miles for $20,000. A comparable V8 convertible was going to cost me at least 5-7K more at the time from what I could find. So I bought the car that I could more realistically afford. I bet there are plenty of Camaro V8 owners that would rather have a C7, but finances alone sometimes keeps us from purchasing what we "really" want...

j/k To date my overall MPG is 15.1. That's all the miles I have driven divided by all the gallons I have put in. The best I could ever do... one full tank of continuous freeway driving with cruise control at 70... was 24.1 |

Congrats on your upgrade, but seriously why start a debate on engine choices?
I love my v6. I love my v8. I love my procharged v6. I love each and every one of my cars for their own reasons. You don't always have to have the most powerful option out there to enjoy a car. If you can only afford to own 1 car, sure, go for the SS instead. If you can only afford the v6 but still want a Camaro, big whoop.

It's not about the power, speed or expense, It's about putting the biggest smile on your face!
