EV discussion from what I've seen on forums is no different than politics or religion discussions. Believe it or not the Harley forum I'm on has a "Political and Other" topics sub forum. Man talk about the sewer of all sewer forums. EV threads end up pretty much the same as much of the stuff that goes on in that forum.

I sometimes toy with the idea of getting an EV motorcycle, maybe when the big Japanese players get into the game. Must easily sustain 80 mph speeds, charge up on household 120V, and have a range of over 100 miles on a single charge. I don't care about the charge times since I never go any further than that on an MC anyways. |

It's perfect for running around the lake where I live and catching bass. They have their uses, but as a performance car, nope. |

I did a DIY e-bike using a Priority bikes Gates drive with an internal gear hub and a front wheel motor. The first battery I got was junk, RMA'd after a hundred emails back and forth and making me take it apart and test every cell bank with a volt meter. Finally got a new one, now it appears to have a bad bank in it. Finally decided to build my own rack mounted battery bank using Kobalt 24V cells in series/parallel. It'll do over 30mph. Kind of a fun project after the disappointment.

well at least it looks like a 21st century Camaro again, not that the pictures come from chevrolet.
if they did a two and 4 door version i'm not sure how i'd feel, i guess at least it would exist. Honestly though i'd rather the 4 door just have a different front end and name, whether it be Malibu , Nova or whatever ( i seriously doubt they'd ever revive "Chevelle" after this long) Even though the Nova was a two door it would be kind of fitting since they originally shared a chassis.

Who wants to park an EV in their garage...this was a loaner from the dealer, not even charging. Spontaneously combusted ! https://www.yahoo.com/news/mercedes-...175909043.html No wonder EV insurance rates are much higher than normal cars, can't imagine having one charging in my garage every night while the family sleeps.

No matter how one feels about a Ford(had two Mustangs , 82 GT and 08 Bullitt ), I gotta say that they're doing right by ICE guys by continuing the IC Mustang for the foreseeable future.
Still a GM guy when it comes to performance. My 24 C6 2SS vert 6spd, DM can't come soon enough ! |

Always great to see a mock rendering that looks better than the Mach E and the new Mustang.
I don't have any deep prejudice toward EV's but I'm not under the illusion thay're better for the environment. But now that the politicians in DC have adjusted their stock portfolios to cash in on lithium battery production, I'm sure the middle clsss will start seeing intense pressure to go EV. |

Haha, odd that they always seem to know where to put their money isn't it?

The renders are close to the current style.
This probes MT's audience on the idea of the powertrain and segment change. Still trying to break the ice. |
