How old are your kids? Mine are already complaining the back seat is too small and they've never even sat in a Camaro, yet! lol They're just used to my CX5 demo's or SRX. I promised them it'll be super fun though! Just curious how much room, or lack there of, will be for a 5 & 7 year old.

I think others have said it.
If you do tracking somewhat often, get the 1LE. Otherwise, 2SS with options. 1LE is fine for DD duty, but if you don't track, a lot of the extra bits aren't all that useful.

Get what you want is my advice and you won’t regret not buying a 1LE!

If I were to buy a Camaro today, I'd certainly go with the 2SS 1LE (back in 2018 it was not offered with the automatic trans). You will want the wheels and wide tires, the Recaro seats, magnetic ride control and the dual mode exhaust (and maybe even those large 6-piston brakes), optioning these in you're at or above the 1LE price anyway. The 2SS 1LE seats are heated and ventilated, too.
The ride may be a little more tight than with the 2SS, but you can make it smoother with different tires if you really want, and I'm sure tour mode will be just fine, you can even lock the suspension to always stay in tour, then you can switch it to Track when you're on a road course. All in all, I say go 1LE.

Best advice is to test drive both.
I do not daily drive my 1LE and I think it would be a little too firm for that imo. Also something to consider is the road conditions where you live. Lastly as many have mentioned, the 1LE does come with very aggressive street tires. You would probably want to ditch them. |

So from what i am hearing sounds like i should just get the 1LE. I liked the Recaro seats and with how i had built the 2SS out it was only like 2,000 cheaper. I had already wanted the performance exhaust ( I have it on my current 17 SS and love it have never taken it out of track mode lol) This could be the last gas engine Camaro i buy so i figure option it out and dont have the i wish i would have syndrome.
I have had my 1SS for the last 5 years its a 17. I only would get another Manual i have been driving Camaro/Firebirds for well over 30 years now still own my 01 Trans Am WS6. I would burn through those tires in not time as I already replace rear tires very year on my current car and only get 2 seasons out of fronts. I like to throw the car in a corner but don't think i would track the car very often. Also you guys realize a stock SS has 20 inch rims already right.. SO my only real question is are the Recaro seats Heated??? I was surprised they where full power. thanks, |

For the record, the ZLE does not have MRC, it has DSSV shocks. Not sure about the SS 1LE.
Good explanation here: https://gmauthority.com/blog/2019/04...-ride-control/

Thanks for clarifying. The salesman at the dealership told me that but well I feel better hearing it from someone who has one!
