I think with these mods it could go 7.50s in decent air and temps. No way it was going to do that last yesterday. However the next time out I should have a Maggie on it, might even get it done quick enough to make the Indy SCT. We'll see about that.

Forgot to mention that I drove the car to the track which was 155 miles on the 555r2 drag radial in the rain. They did really well but I did not have any puddling on the road which was good. My first pass was with over 1/2 tank of E65 and when I left the track I still had between 3/8 and 1/2 tank so I did have more fuel on board then at the May event, probably an extra 30 to 40 lbs of weight, no light weight car for sure.

had enough of the na fight already, going to the dark side haha. i wondered how the weather would pan out when i saw the radar and there was one blob of rain pounding that specific area.
i expected better results from the LT2, but every car is different. looks like it's gonna be hot for sct in indy this year. i'll be there both days to spectate, i'll make a point of it to find you and say hi.

They 28.4 tall which is considerable compared to stock, 305-35-20 Nitto 555r2 which match my 555G2s up front. which I'm sure does hurt my 60 ft times. I know a lot of the guys that are NA run a shorter tire. Just not for me, I'll take the loss in Et if it really causes any then look at that short ass tire on the rear. Now, I think they'll pay off with the Maggie because it will help the car hook with the taller and wider tire and really help more down track on a boosted car compared to an NA car. They actually ride good also with the stiff suspension. I mean if it set a 1/2 lower in the rear they'd be tucked and the top of the tire would disappear. I love that since I've build a couple Pro Street Cars that were tubbed, plus some air ride car and a bunch of lowered trucks that were all right at the fender well. I saw my first lowered golf cart at the track last night. Everyone wants them sitting real tall and this guy had his slammed, freaking awesome and wish I'd taken a picture of it.

[QUOTE=lt4camaro;11198120]Would be nice to data log those passes to see your throttle opening from the hit thru 1st gear and see how soon it opens 99.6 % and to see if there is any timing being pulled other than at the shift points. So thats your best 1/8 mile MPH but not your best 1/8 mile ET. Have you tried going to a cooler stat? and have you removed the rain shield out from under the hood heat extractor? also while your there remove the insulation thats clipped to the hood. I would have expected to see some high 1.60s 60 ft times? Guess I am dreaming LOL[/QUOTE
What aluminum shield are you talking about? You mean where the Vents are in the hood? I just don't think the 160 stat will help if its sitting in the staging lanes getting heat soaked. I did a 160 stat on my C7, wasn't impressed but maybe I'll try one again. However I'll wait till I've got the blower in hand and I can switch it out then. When I did street logs with the drag radials it wasn't pully any timing any where, none on the dyno either. I was dam close to 1.60s but not yesterday.

i wouldn't expect a really short tire to do much with an auto car. 1st is already steep, i don't know that id go any shorter than 27" or so.
but that stuff won't matter with that maggie. you'll prob be fighting for traction from a dig and those tires on it now will definitely help.

Nickey Performance built a Zl1 for Norm and it made 770 w/2650 Maggie, 555r2 hooked on every track but he went to MT Street Rs. He did go low 10s with them, but he was driving to all the tracks with them and wore them out. So now he hauls the Rs in the trunk and back seat and basically runs street tires to all the tracks and just changes them when he gets there. He's still running low 10s on low boost and 93 octane. He also camps out at every track, he's a trooper for sure. I'll be ok at 550 to 600, the taller tire will be in my favor at the hit where a short tire will not, beyond that I think I'll have to get to another tire. We'll find out at the LS Fest.

Not bad. You're not too far off from a heat soaked stock a10 ZL1.
