1. ZLs collect rock chips. Invest in the known paint protectors, especially in the gill area.
2. Fuel efficiency isn't the best, but then again one doesn't look for fuel savings in this type of car. 3. BA sound system could use more watts. 4. Weak glove compartment door. That's it so far. The ZL is a very complete package in terms of performance, appearance and camaro legacy.

I have a sunroof on mine, I am 6'2", and I do track it. It's a bit of a hassle but doable. I was not expecting to track the car when I bought it, but oh well.
Only other complaint on mine is that Recaro's were not available when I ordered it. |

I'm 6'0 and wear a helmet for drag racing and its not a issue for me.
Oh I also have a sunroof, and I just close the interior panel. |

I have put 10,500 miles on my car in the last 2 years. I absolutely love my car and will keep it until one of us dies!
The only 2 dislikes: 1.) The stock Goodyear F1 Eagles have no traction in cold weather. 70 degrees and under. 2.) The blind spot when my top is up. My opinion: Buy the car!!!! It's Beautiful!!!! |

I've been watching ZL1's across the country for 3 months.
I just made a deal with one is SoCal for 40K with only 4800 miles on her. I was looking hard at this one but I'm going to pass as I found a local deal. They want to move her badly. Give them a call. http://www.rogerjenningsinc.com/Vehi...-IL/1861671863

From the photos I see it's a M6.
The two things that bother me about my ZL1 are the popping, farting and burping during gear shifts from the clutch fuel cutoff (CFCO) and the Hill Assist feature. Other than that, the car is a blast to own. And I can attest from personal experience the red color will draw a lot of attention.

I've had my 2014 for a a year and two months and periodically use it for stints as a daily driver. Be forwarned, the MyLink periodically shuts itself down and I've had less frequent instances where the steering wheel controls and radio controls do not respond to any sort of input. I've also had this happen with the airconditioning unit on a couple of occassions where the fan and ac controls would not respond to inputs. The Bose sound system sucks, I love the Recaros, but have had a couple of trim issues (condensation in an unadultered tailiamp, partial detachment of the rear Chevrolet logo, and an adhesive backing strip falling out of the c-pillar). The gas mileage is not even close to the posted figures (no big deal, I knew what kind of car I was buying). I've also experience a frequent transmission/shifter rattle when the car is coasting out of gear over bumps and it is subtle but very annoying. I personally feel very strongly that this car needs more power.
I agree with some of the other members, I bought this car thinking it would practically be undistinguishable by the lamens, but the car attracts a lot of attention in the wrong places (e.g. driving down the highway). Warning: The Interstate Photographers will threaten your life, along with the "Wannabe-street-racers-and-ricers." Crystal Red Tintcoat, magnetic ride, and hellaflush wheels from the factory are all no regrets. Black split spokes are a pain-in-the-ass to clean if you really want them spotless. |

I had a beautiful 2012 Silver SS Convertible. I had a DynoTune, Headers,CAI,VMax Throttle Body, and 3.73 Gears. It was an A6. It was not worth the Difference I paid
trading it in. If you get a good Cash deal maybe that`s a different story. The Zl1 has more Top End but you really can`t use it on the Street.I was very disappointed for a Car that cost 60K. The SS only had 13000 miles on it when I traded it in.If you buy a 2014 Zl1 be sure to get one built after Nov. 2013 or you will get the older Superchargers.Mine was built in Aug. 2013 and I have the older one in my Car. The Rearend howls in the Zl1, I will take it in in the Spring.I also have a clunk that sounds like a Ujoint or the Ring and Pinion is not set up right.I Drag Raced for 35+ years I think I have a little bit of mechanical knowledge.I do like the ZL1,but I don`t think I would have traded if I had to do it again. Good Luck, Ed |

Check this one, no sunroof, less price
http://classicchevroletoffers.com/Vi...r/GAN#overview Only cons I have; ZL1 is low. I have to park in to garage backwards. But it is not a dealbreaker. |
