Yes...you can...but just like your 2nd statement above, you can't enforce it either.

Look...as stated above, this comparison is difficult, if not impossible to make based on hard data where the two have been put up head to head. The best conclusion we can draw from is looking at already posted data (for instance, 0 - 60 times, or 1/4 mile times) based from similar sources and testing (for instance GM quoted times, or magazine testing). That tells us that the new V6 is easily the quicker and better driver's car.

But its too early to gather opinions from current LFX owners, as I don't think any have driven the new car. Rest assured, the new V6 is quicker, and handles better. I think it is very much worth the upgrade if you are considering it and based on your budget. If your budget easily allows the V8 option, well then maybe swing for the fence and get that option.

Comparing this V6 to a former V8 is going to be natural comparison for the simple fact that they now perform similarly. Is that so wrong? Comparisons have been made between the old LFX, and the Mustang GT (pre 2011 model) and so using that, we can now assume this new LGX will be just as quick or quicker than the GT....its a reference point...that's all that it is!

Last but not least...stop getting your undies in a wad.

Pretty sure if anyone had the info the OP is looking for would opt to not give it based on his bat sh*t crazy responses. You may want to ask on your own at a later date in a new thread.

When the Gen 5 came out the V6 was the LLT, then (I can't remember which year) they switched to the LFX which added a composite intake manifold and an exhaust manifold that was integrated into the head (headifold?), which gave it a bump in HP. The new 2016 Camaro V6 will get the LGX, which is an all new engine, with more HP, and cylinder deactivation for better fuel efficiency.

Drive it yourself and make your own opinion. A good improvement would be a V8.

Me attitude is that of somEone looking for information without wanting to read the typing of people that have no input on the question and feel the need to blabber and or express their views/opinions on other matters.
