So, you look at it and say you paid 39,000 in 2011, well that's over 41,000 today with inflation. A 5th gen 2SS right now with the manual and RS package is 39,650. Technically, that's a better deal than you got in 2011.

Not sure where you're getting the 47,000 from. 2016 2SS will be much better loaded than your car and there's no way in hell it'll be 47,000 to check the 2SS box.

I can see it hit 47,000 max loaded (Auto, MRC, sunroof, stripes, option wheels etc).

I'd be the first to get my hands on a stripped down model if it was available...

... and also a bare bones option Camaro, manual everything with tons of powaaah.

Enthusiasts like us might want a stripped version (I personally do not) but the masses do not. Offering a stripped, down to manual crank windows and basic stereo actually only ADDS to the overall cost of the car for GM. I'm not making that up, those words are straight from a GM official (can't remember if it was Al O or someone else who said that long ago). Now GM would have to offer more configurations, and it would be an option that hardly anyone wants.

Anyways, getting a bit off topic here.

If anyone has an insight into what the 1SS/1LT cars WILL offer, that's what I want to know.

If anyone out there spots a Camaro and its a 1SS I'd love for to take notice on what the driver stack looks lik.

I'm in the situation where I am considering a loaded 2LT V6 with all the goodies, versus a 1SS with a few options.

Also, wish this thread hadn't of gotten moved. The thread isn't really about the photos, its a legit question about the content of what the 1SS and 1LT versions offer. I think it should be in the main section, or perhaps the pricing section. Oh wells.

I didn't mean to start a war! I was just saying I want a 1SS with minimal options. Like if it was a Mustang, I'd want the base GT with track pack and recaros. Nothing else.

Power seats do add some weight, but you can opt out of this by getting the 1SS. As far as manual mirrors go — I'm pretty sure that won't amount to any appreciable savings. Just how stripped down would the car need to be? The Camaro honestly isn't the lightest car in the world, even with the 200 lbs savings on the Alpha platform. If you want a super light weight v8 track machine, you'd honestly need to start with a completely different vehicle. Maybe one that's 20-30 years old before safety regulations added bulk to pretty much all modern cars.

Even beyond that, the Camaro needs to maintain focus on its buyer segment, and that segment does definitely want gizmos, A/C, and the basic amenities.

I honestly find it extremely hard to believe that you will not be able to get the 8" driver info screen on a 1ss. They are in the business of making money, leaving out a potential $500 box to check on a trim is bad business.

+1

Every model Challenger from the base V6 up to the Hellcat has a between the gauges display.

Mind you not every one has the full size center stack display, unlike the Camaro

This. Though I do realize the whopping 30 lb difference from the 1ss and the 2ss in the 5th gen was a big deal to some of you.

Other than Drew, nobody mentions the clip board between the passenger seat and the console?

The 9th vehicle is an Australian built vehicle, with an LT4, and the 8-spd auto.
6GDE4407
What vehicle is that?
Maybe Chevy SS?

I think some other folks have figured out the ID numbers don't really correspond with VINs.

All 5th gen Camaros now have standard power front seats....... Not going to make that an option on the 6th gen

Exactly. That's All I really care about here. Do we know who took this picture? Maybe it's the 3rdGen seen in some pics?
