Each bank has an intake and exhaust cam position sensor.
There is also an intake and exhaust VVT control solenoid. I believe failure of the solenoid can show up as a bad position sensor code. The P0365 is basically saying the cam position sensor is reporting something out of the expected range. This can happen when solenoid is not working properly, as the solenoid affects timing. |

See post #4 in this thread:
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=590556 I will verify in repair manual later. EDIT: That post is correct. #1 cylinder is passenger side back cylinder in a lefthand drive car. Last edited by ctrlz; 03-11-2024 at 09:36 AM. |

So I took my car to the local Chevy dealership and they ran their diagnostic on my car and said it needed a cam sensor plug replaced. Did the replacement and cleared the codes and its fixed. 325.00

So it was the connector, not the sensor itself? Weird. Someone else can chime in on whether something like this should be covered under powertrain, because it sounds like a manufacturer defect to me. |
