Maybe the first set will sell for good money. Factory rims never sell close to retail.

Exactly. Not when the MRR replica wheels are available already and are rotary forged themselves.

I don't see why they wouldn't be. Are the OEM wheels rotary forged or 1-piece mono block forged?

For a great look at different wheel constructions take a look here:

Are the 1le the same size as an ss? MRR dont come in stock tire sizes ATM so you have to invest in new rubber too, which sucks.

The MRR replicas are the same sizes as the GM 1LE wheels. So yes, new tires are needed as the stock SS tires are to narrow for correct fitment. However, you could use your stock rear 275/35 on the front and that would allow you to only buy a set of wider tires for the rear.

Rotary forged is not the same. The factory wheels are stronger and lighter.

Remember the tires that are on these wheels...not cheap. A good $350 a pop.

I never said rotary forged was the same in weight and as strength. Do you know which process is used for the GM 1LE wheels? Their weight?

We'll probably never know for sure what the differences in strength are, but I doubt aftermarket wheels go through the same level of durability testing as OEM (how could they?). The OEM ones are definitely worth more (to me) just due to that.

GM doesn't manufacture their own forged wheels I'm sure. They source out a company to build them such as Alcoa as a lot of car companies use them. Maybe someone from MRR or another wheels vendor can chime in and give more in depth information to their forged wheels compared to OEM forged wheels. All companies meet specific minimum requirements.

Brand new they are $350.00. These are used. Even if they have 2 miles on them every thing is used. Do not get any warranty on rims or tires. So really hard to justify looking for top retail. Usually used goes for 50% because of this.

Well...Then everyone is buying used cars and paying full new price.
Are they supposed to float the cars on fluffy clouds of marshmallows from the factory to your driveway?
A few miles would still be considered new.

Any tire mounted to a rim is not considered new. Sorry...
