On price, looks like you could have done a 1LT with z07 for $88K: https://www.lsxmag.com/news/official...g-and-options/ I just remember cross shopping ZLE with C7Z Z07 and kept seeing over $100K. Must have been loaded 3LTs. |

The msrp of the Z06 from the lightning lap a few years ago was $100k, but I think they could be less optioned to be cheaper. Which, by the way, that Z06 at the 2015 Lightning lap was an M7 and it was 100 F outside according to the article written about it. Not insignificant. I am looking forward to getting my C&D with all this LL info. in it.

For sure, but that one will be more of a track car rather than a street car. Center lock wheels, while cool, are a pain for a street driven car. Might be too stiff (similar to the ZLE) for the street too.
It will be a bad ass track car though.

yeah, the lightning lap is really cool, it's been a fun way to compare cars. But i think they need to have a newer metric or something that captures potential issues in a 25min track session. |

I agree. Have all competitors do a 25-30 minute session running as hard as their drivers can pretty much push them. I bet there would be some big surprises.

Everyone's forgetting that the GT500 is not just $18,000 more than a ZLE. Most people are buying the GT500 with ADM's of anywhere from $5k - $20k over sticker.
Put that into equation and the GT500 value quotient becomes pathetic. Sad part is you are still stuck with a porker of a S550 chassis with some go fast bits.

There is a GT500 CFTP at a local dealer that is advetised for 120,000 more than I paid for my ZLE out the door!!!
For some though money isn’t an object but 120,000 more???? |
