I just installed mine today. I had to nickname this badboy the "Hammer of Thor" just because of the weight of this thing. LOL. I do notice having to put a little more effort putting it into revers also. Stil... it's a pretty sweet shifter, especially for the price.

Glad you like it. "Hammer of Thor" thats good. I wish we would of use that in our ads. lol

Reverse is harder to get into because there is a return spring in the reverse lockout solenoid. Selecting reverse requires overcoming that spring force. Thats what the engineers said on that topic.

thanks for your purchase and , i am glad you are happy with our product.

Actually, when I installed the shifter, I threw on the CAGS eliminator. I accidently installed it on the reverse lockout solenoid and that's what caused the hard effort to put it into reverse. After fixing that issue, the LSR shifts fine into reverse!

Glad I'm not the only one! LOL Must be a Bay Area thing not reading directions and being too anxious to double check. Hahaha. When I noticed that I was still being forced to do the 1-4 shift I knew I had the CAGS hooked up wrong. LOL With the ignition off, it's still hard to shift into reverse but when I turned the ignition on, she was good to go!

There is a OFFSET built into the factory shifter (see pic below). The LSR shifter doesn't look to have the offset required to get into reverse smoothly. I have installed both the Hurst and the Barton and they both have a offset built into them that has to go in a certain direction. They both have a much shorter throw and both go into reverse as smooth as the other gears. I would venture to bet the offset is the problem.

Looking at the pic below you can see the way the factory shifter is tilted one direction and the lsr is not.

I've had this shifter for quite a bit of time now and I love it. Absolutely no reverse issues here.

Nope... definitely not an issue with the offset. Once I corrected the mistake I made, the LSR shifts just fine.
