I hate the Steelers. But, I had a feeling that he would just retire when they let him go. If it makes him a his fans feel better knowing that he won't ever play for anyone else, then that's great for them.
He didn't "retire a Steeler" - he was let go, then retired. He retired as a nothing. (fans, don't take that wrong, I'm not denying his talent, just saying he didn't belong to any team when he retired....)
