I have 2 kids 2 and a half and a 7 month old. The rear facing car seat for the youngest is almost impossible to deal with, but will go in and out barely. The car seat will have to be turned and it will be a rough ride in and out of the car for the kid. Good luck trying to get the car seat in and out while the kid is sleeping. I have taken my oldest in the car with me in the back seat with a big convertible car seat which is now forward facing and I can only put that behind the passenger seat because the seat needs to be forward quite a bit. I just recently bought a small seat for her and will try it soon.

Keep this car for u and fun trips but have a second family car Camry etc that should solve it , use your wife's car for family or pick up a cheap used family car

My kid is still rear facing and the car seat fits fine in the backseat. Its not easy getting it in but its ok. My wife is 5'-7" and she also rode in the back with him because he insisted on it.
