Mine is still stored too. The cost to add winter tires and wheels to mine plus the added cost to keep liability on it, is MORE than the value of my winter beater, insured for 6 months. Since my winter beater was long ago paid for, that makes this even more expensive to winter drive the Camaro.

None of this takes into account that our clear coat is softer than hot butter. I prefer to minimize my stone chips, thanks. I could hit the front of my car with a sand blaster, but I will pass on that too. Sure these are cars, and are meant to be driven, but they certainly were not designed with our winter climate in mind.

One more week till the snow tires can come off! I've been driving my Camaro's year round since 1980.

OK, driving the Camaro in the winter comes down to a personal preference/situation. But one thing is pretty certain, An ad in the used car section stating "has never missed a winter, seen tons of salt and sand, only moderate rust now but great potential for full blown cancer later" is not going to do much for the resale value. I don't see anybodies buddies Standing around said car in your driveway handing out high fives when you explain it has 80k on the OD and only 45k of that is winter driving!

Just sayin

winter driving doesn't change the wholesale price of the car.\
but a well kept car will have way more curb appeal, sell faster, and maybe even fetch a few extra dollars.
if i was a single vehicle family, id drive mine too. mind you, i am
fortunately enough to have plan b & c. good tires go a long way.

I'd have to sell it to have to worry about resale value think I'll get buried in it!

I drove my Camaro in the winter...with snow tires and a bit of caution it was fine.
As long as GM refuses to extend the warranty time for people who garage their car for 5 months of the year, I'll continue to drive it while the warranty is ticking away.

Besides, I got upsold on the rust inhibiting module and Diamond Coat...the car is guaranteed against rust developing under the paint (rock/stone chip rust is not covered) for 10 years. If I get any rust under the paint in that time, the car gets repainted for free. Which might very well be a great deal due to the fragile paint on these suckers.

I drove mine in winter with some of the worse snows here in GTA and had no problem. I had all season tires. Having a snow tired would definitly makes life easier. as long as you dont drive with summer tires!!!
If fact it handle much better than my front wheel civic and matrix!!!

Ps. I did have mine as stick shift which does help controlling that torque and not
having tires spin too much!!
