Understand and the main reason I bought a ZL1 was the price and it being used with less than 500 miles. I couldn’t afford new and wasn’t going to pay the new price either. I was looking at getting a 2019 2SS 1LE or wait later for a 2020 2SS 1LE and the I found the ZL1 on Cars.com and the rest is history.

It was 1979, I had just finished High School. I told my Dad that I had to get out of the Midwest, I was either going to California or Florida to pursue my future. Surprisingly, he was all for it when I told him, so...he handed me his Amex card and said, go buy a plane ticket, but before you go there was someplace he wanted to take me. We drove to a downtown car dealership that was going out of business, when we arrived he pointed to a sky blue, 1980 Camaro, he looked at me and said, it’s the last one on the lot and because he knew the dealership owner, that he could get it for a steal. Of course I would have to pay for it, but my Dad was quite clever, it was his way of saying, if you stay here, get a job, you can buy this car. I’ve been a car guy for as long as I can remember, and he knew it! That was 38 yrs. ago, and although I loved that car, to this day, never leaving the Midwest is still the only regret I have...but that Camaro was my first brand new car!

24 it was a 1999 ss t top car didn't really like the hatch bought a 2000 ss vert same color combo (navy blue metallic with tan interior the vert had a tan top). Although the vert gave me the traditional trunk I liked it lacked handling wise and I did everything I could to stiffen up (welded in kenny brown sub frame connectors, hyper coil springs, koni double adjustable shocks, every control arm and torque arm i could get but i could never get the vert flex out of it. In 2012 I bought a zl1. Then in 2015 I bought a Z06 z07 pkg car which I still have and in 2018 I bought a ZL1 1LE and In Oct of 2019 I bought a 2018 SS 1LE. The wife thinks I am crazy to have two camaros at the same time but I said hey they are different colors I like variety lol.

Hey closs, that Daytona sunrise orange would have been a good color for the 6gen Camaro but renamed of course!

29 years old, bought a brand new ‘80 Camaro with the ex wife. V6, 3 spd auto, dark chocolate brown metalflake, rally wheels. First of seven Camaros. Also had a ‘68 Firebird in 1972, does that count?

I was 19, traded my 1980 Pontiac Lemans for a 1983 Camaro Berlinetta (also had to throw in a few extra $$ to make the deal fly). Thinking back I’m guessing that was around ‘92.

That Camaro was beautiful... Charcoal Grey, T Tops, Bronze colour 15 spoke rims, and a full load of options and toys (for 1983). I loved that car, but in the end she was stolen
