I modified the rubber cradle unit a while back using a plastic welding tool from harbor freight. I gained between 1/16 and 1/8" of clearance and now the S6 sits flat in the space.
The other thing I discovered is that if the car doesn't start charging the phone the first time, there is an easy way to force a retry. Take it off the cradle, hit the power button to show the lock screen, then power button again to go black. Put it back on the cradle and it will retry the charging sync. |

Never got this to work on my S4. It doesn't come with wireless charging built in, so I had to by a little gizmo to stick inside. I assumed that the little gizmo was junk (which it may be) but after reading this thread, I may try again.

I have an Lg G4 with aftermarket coil in phone back and works great, but I have to connect USB to use Android Auto and Waze on the car display.. so why bother. I have a Note 8 on order, so too large, but there is a magnetic wireless charger that fits in the power outlet. It might work if your phone has a back that will attach via a magnet. Very strange that they would bother providing a wireless charger and fail to make it powerful and large enough to work with a variety of phones... all show.
