Yeah you can tell, if it's fast, they're lying.

I don't know who does it more my guess that since the Mustang crowd seems to prefer the strip most likely them. But it goes on with all brands! And yes it is occurring in this forum as well as the Camaro5 forum, we all know who but I won't mention names.

I remember running supposed stock GNs back in the late 80s that were laying down mid 12s claiming to be factory stock and forgetting to mention their mods.

There was a vendor on 6speedonline that had a 991 porsche turbo S and was modifying it and showcasing the performance on the forum. He was posting up some very impressive time slips that were about .3-.5 seconds too fast.

Turns out it was all bullshit, he was taking data and timeslips from various forums. I actually found a couple from the cts-v forums.

Considering how everytime one of these guys posts a video of a fast Mustang it's always modded...or how they're always asking "how many Camaros can run this or that with only drag pack/boost/nitrous..." lol!!

If you're racing competitively and making money off it then I get it that you wouldn't want to fully disclose your mods. That is fine. But then again, don't say "I only have" when you have much more. Disclose what you wanna disclose and then say you have other stuff done to it. But to be underhanded and dishonest is lame. And let's face it, most of these guys doing that are not racing competitively or making money off it. They're just lying for the attention. End of the day the ends justifies the means for them. If they lie about it and get a whole bunch of YouTubers and forum followers to "oohhh aahhh" over their shit or get people to brag about how they run the fastest time with "only" this or that then they're fake as hell. And that is what's going on more often than not. People want glory and this it the only way they can get it.

Sit in a bar and you'll hear about all kinds of impossibly fast cars. Everyone owns a 10 sec this or that with simple mods. I never see these cars nor do I ever come across them in real life but they're all out there. In a year and a half I had one good race against a car I could not beat. I was in my Hellcat and it was a highly modded WRX. He straight up walked by me. Other than that I have never seen any of these super fast cars that are just running rampant.

My offer still stands , bring me a ( stock 2018 or 2019 mustang ) and I'll bring my 2018 stock 1SS ( same day , same track BMP FL ) .. Both cars on drag radials so no one can bitch about spinning .. Bring a top tuner to check that either has no engine tune ..
Two runs in each lane for both cars .Bring a pro driver if you want for the Mustang , I will be driving my car . We can video the hole thing and post it right here for everyone to see ..

Lets do this pretty quick because I want to start moding my car ..
You are posting this in the wrong place. Go post it on M6G. Unlikely there are many '18 GT owners in the Bradenton area lurking here.

He doesn't have to post it over there because more than likely you and your friends from over there probably have his post copied and pasted all over that damn forum anyway at this point. It's probably even a sticky.

Stock GN's made easy work of stock 5.0's back then. I had both at the same time. There was no reason to "forget" mods.

Ahh the good 'll days. I was chewed up and spit out by one in my Malibu back then, after that spanking I had to have one. My little v6 GN was a true minimal mod 12.7@106 car, McCreary soft compounds, green stripe inj, Dutweiler intercooler, chip/CAI and I did some elbow porting off of the turbo. Fun times.

According to Car and Driver, a 2018 A10 GT is faster than a 2019 A10 SS.

"the automatic Ford outpaced the 2019 Chevy with a very similar 10-speed by a tenth both to 60 mph and through the quarter, and also had a 2-mph-faster trap speed."

Lol that article says the auto GT ran a 12.1 and the MANUAL SS ran a 12.2. Sure you want to be quoting that article?
