My wife and I have kicked around the idea of buying a grand cherokee or durango on and off for years. Everytime I think about pulling the trigger I see Info like this.

For the 6th gen they didn't give a separate rating for NPP. Either it really didn't add any power (which I'd believe) or they felt the Vette guys needed some cushion for their egos lol.

Don't believe everything you see. My Challenger has been just about flawless for going on 8 years. I've known very few people to have to have issues with either their Jeeps, Challenger, or Chargers and I'm deep in the community with lots of friends with those vehicles (100s). I can't speak for the other models.

I'm definitely no brand fanboy either. If my Challenger sucked I'd tell ya.

If you pay any attention to the present auto Hellcats running 275-305 series DRs you will see most are running in the low 1:60s for 60' times some in the 50s. This car will be more quarter mile oriented, lighter, and more powerful. It will run in 1:50s.

Other changes:
Those Demon-branded Nitto NT05R drag radials skirt by regulations with just the smallest of margins, and in order to maximize the potential of the 315/40R 18 size tires Dodge increased the car's torque multiplication with a higher stall speed torque converter and a 3.09 rear axle. Autoblog

Hehe I love it. All this stock tire BS is now out the window, FINALLY. Other manufacturers will likely follow suit offering some ultra high performance purpose built tire from the factory and we can all see what these cars can really do.

Gotcha just didn't know if was something posted on a media site like before. With them using the 392 gearing now and a bigger converter...this thing is definitely going to come out of the hole hard.

I don't see really anyone else following suit unless it's build a car/package aimed specifically at the Demon. GM really hasn't shown any interest in it and doubt Ford will either. I would love it if the equivalent of a 1LE but for drag racing was offered, but I can buy a set of DRs and wheels just as easily.

The price of the Demon with this equipment is going to be the key as whether this thing really sells or becomes just rarity only seen at the strip or sitting in someone's garage.

I wouldn't think they'd build a car to chase the Demon per se', but I would think they'd offer a DR or something similar as an option to level the playing field for the magazine articles. An option makes it stock and so many people get hung up on that for some reason.

Price is the big ? for me. A buddy of mine and I have a bet with the loser having to buy dinner. My guess is $99,999.99. Dodge knocked it out of the park the first year of the Hellcat at $58K, then shocked everybody when they jacked the price up $10K the second model year, complete BS. I'm sure they'll try to capitalize on this with some kind of limited quantity BS or similar.
