Careful, you might hurt some people with those logical and correct facts and points of reference.

The zl1 will be the better overall car (like it always has been) but the hellcat will still be quicker and faster.

What really blows my mind is the discussion surrounding the Z06 vs Hellcat...is it really believable that 57 hp (or 8%) more is enough to make up for a 1000lb disadvantage?

And you're right - it is hard to imagine that with 'only' 57 HP the HC can still give the C7Z a run but I do think a LOT of those wins by the HC are because the C7Z driver hasn't learned how to finesse that much power in a car that 'light'.
Roll Racing soooooooooooooo lacks any control! Too many variables. The videos of the HC being quicker than a Z06 are beyond laughable.

Agreed, but neither car is "setup" for drag racing. Both are setup for "dual role" shall we say. Though you could say the more aggressive gearing in the FCA A8s (at least compared to the 8L90) is an advantage.

When it comes to the Gt500, Gen5 ZL1 and hellcat if you find all the so called " hero run's and take into account HP and weight. IMO the ZL1 is most impressive they have less HP than the other cars and more weight than the GT and yet some have pulled off 11.5's "STOCK". Seems to be doing more with less to me idk.

just read off and on comments, some hellcats are under rated and some are right one point. I've witnessed one hellcat auto dyno 652 stock and another dyno 638 stock..... The difference in dyno numbers really seems to be the luck of the draw.

from a dig I watch a new zo6 get railed both cars hooking about the same, and I've seen a zo6 win

really it's down to driver and the old theory of was your car built in a Tuesday or a lazy Friday haha

none of these cars put down consistent enough numbers to say they all are equally as fast from the factory.but the fact that those boats are even in the game competition wise is extremely impressive, these land yachts can fly!

I think the new tech on the zl1 will surprise people and put up a huge fight. Aerodynamics was a huge focus, reduced weight and much improved tech so that is one thing the challengers do not have is aerodynamics.

idk guys, lets just say the line up of 2017 will be exciting to watch!!

There's too many variables to say either of those engines are truly making different power. Simple things such as how tight the vehicle is strapped down and the tire pressure can make a difference. A better indicator would be what both of those vehicles trap at the same track with similar 60' times.

I just got back from the drags in Bakersfield CA stock HC with DR running low 11's two modded ones with pulleys and tune & DR 10.35 & 10.65. Magnuson was there with there SS bone stock with there Heartbeat Supercharger 7psi boost ran a 10.8 With that said the stock cats run 11.5 boost the 2 modded ones we're 15-16psi of boost. I don't see any reason why the new ZL1 with DR would be 10.5 - 10.8 stock LT4 That should beat a stock HC.

I'm not one to favor a car just BC its a GM, I have a lot of respect for hellcats, to make a car that is heavy and roomy and be able to comfortably take the family out but still run high 10's low 11's stock. That is respectable, the new Camaro and vette's are commited to be a sports car and you would either have to have no kids, a chill wife, or be wealthy enough to own several cars.

Being single, ya the Camaro and vettes are amazing! But for that guy with 2 kids and a wife who is like "you are not about to buy our family a 2 seated car for 70k"..... The hellcat is the savior for a lot of men with families with the desire of a fast car if you think about it haha
