It's a shame my dealer will not sell me my car until it arrives. They also have a policy with OnStar that they set them all up by pushing the blue button in the car to activate it.

I spoke with my dealer the other day about buying my car and activating my OnStar. He said that once it hits 4200 and they know it's shipped I can. He said he doesn't feel comfortable doing it before.

That sucks Sledgehammer. Mine had no problem, especially when I dropped $30K cash on the table, lol.

My understand is they construct about 4 or 5 auto rack carriers in a line and back the string up to a loading area. Between each auto rack they use ramps to connect the string of cars. A ramp is then brought up to the rear of the string and cars are driven in and secured in place for transit. The cars then driven in from the rear all the way forward as far as possible. Once the string is loaded they remove the ramps and pull the string out to a staging area and a new string of empty auto racks are brought in to be loaded. Once the train is complete it takes off to its destination. My understanding is most auto rack cars can carrier abourt 14-18 cars at a time.

Just got back from the dealer. Got full print out of all my event codes, has rail car info, coming on Norfolk Southern. Called them up, guy was very nice and helpful. Gave him my rail car number, in Ohio right now, which I knew from Onstar, is coming into Winston Salem area, will be by the 15th (Tuesday) at the latest. Should have it sometime middle to late next week! About time!

One of the sales persons I was talking to at my dealer said their director of operations has been complaining to GM about my car and the fact that they are the largest volume dealer in the Southeast and have not received a single 2016 Camaro. He said GM knows everyone is pissed, but hasn't done anything about it, who knows if they will...my guess, they will sweep it under the rug!

Damn thats a quick trip hope you get it next week as thats a tuesday, is your dealer open weekends? Have you seen any out on town around your way? I have not but the moment i do i can see myself getting pissed at this situation

Well it will go the distribution center by Tuesday, guessing a day or two after that to get to my dealer, that is about an hours drive without stops...my dealer is open Saturdays, closed on Sundays. Haven't seen any on the road at all, including by me. A few members on here live near by, but they are waiting as well. Hoping yours moves this week.
