Whatever the case may be, I just hope we'll get numbers soon and hopefully one of those numbers is a Nurburgring lap time.

Don't get me wrong.. I'd be happy for anything. I would love to see the 0-60 for the 10A and 6M. 1/4 mile or 8th over the 'ring time... But i'll take anything at this point!

I would love to see those numbers for the ZL1! As far as the 1LE goes I'm only interested in handling G's and braking distance. Likely the 0-60 and 1/4 times are the same as a standard 6 speed SS.

Straightline performance shouldn't change much from the standard SS.

I'd be surprised if the bigger tires gave better 0-60 times, but maybe they will? Maybe they'll hook up faster and get a better launch.

All I know is if they jack the price up too much I will be:

1- Pissed Al O made like it wouldn't be all that much higher.
2- Not buying a 1LE and getting a 1SS and building it up to my spec over time.

I agree! Especially since we are stuck without some of the 2SS luxuries. I don't see why they would need to exceed 45k with a fully optioned 1LE. That's an extra 8k over the base 1SS. So that gives them 6k for the 1LE package and 2k for the PDR/NAV.

"The upshot: GM is prioritizing profits over sales totals

For more than a year now, Barra has been saying that GM now prioritizes profits over sales totals or market-share victories. That's a sea change from the Old GM way of doing things, and for shareholders, it should be a welcome one."

I can see that being the case. Sell less cars, but make $2000-$3000 more per unit.

BUT, that doesn't mean they can't give us a damn price lol...

That is the way the high-line manufacturers do it. Look at Audi, they don't need to sell that many units per month to make a killing. Also, you probably noticed the advertised Gen6 price delta between msrp and invoice is very small. So, it looks like they changed their profit structure such that most customers aim for invoice and tend to feel good about the deal. Meanwhile, invoice is only like $1200-1500 off or something, which we all know can't be true. There has to be more profit in these cars.

The invoice has been a lie with all cars for some time now and the trend toward more back door profits is increasing. I laugh when I hear people talking about how they fleeced the dealer when they got a little under invoice.

And we always laugh at you for paying over invoice. Every dealer pays different amounts depending on several factors. Invoice and MSRP are the only tools we have to gauge how well we did negotiating.

I was happy to get my car for under invoice but I was more happy to get the car. Getting it for less was just a bonus.
