Thank you for taking time out of your day for calling. It's amazing how much you do.

So I called the dealership yesterday after we spoke. Got the sales manager's voicemail. Left a voicemail.

Today, I called back again after I didn't get a return call. I was told he was in. So I asked to be transferred to his phone. And...it went to voicemail again. Left another voicemail. Didn't get called back.

So...that's where I'm at. I think I am going to be reasonable and give them a full week. If I still can't get a hold of even this guy after a week, then...

I have a theory on mine:

It's a good lookin car. That dealership originally told me they would sell me the car for my Employee Discount that I have, as well as an additional $300 off that they were going to give me. I now have paper documentation to confirm the additional $300 off, as well as multiple texts and emails from them.

What are the chances they don't want to sell me the car anymore? With me, they aren't going to make much of a profit. They could probably sell it to someone else that doesn't have the Employee Discount and still make a good profit with the Holdback Fee and Dealer Processing Fee.

Not likely IMO. They usually want to take every sale they can. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

I did not look back through the thread to see the issues, but it looks like there are a couple of us that are struggling to get over that last little hump and into our cars. Sorry to hear your are having issues too.

That's true. The other thing I was thinking is that it is really hard for dealerships to sell stick shifts around this area. There is a dealership that I started talking to back in February. They still have the same car sitting there. Stick shift. This dealership I'm working on now also has the same two cars that I contacted them about in early March. Also stick shifts. And I've seen other stick shifts as well that have been there for months all over in Northern CA. Even with that 0% APR for 72 months thing, they didn't move. So I'm thinking they'd want to get rid of mine for sure if they could easily do so.

I appreciate the understanding. I'm sorry you're also stuck here. Let's try to compare notes with everyone in our boat.

The car itself is at the dealership. I got to go see it and drive it around for a bit and everything. Loved it. However, EVERY SINGLE ITEM I've ordered for the car is not there yet. This includes things as minor as the wheel locks and the cargo net. Those items shouldn't be on any kind of back order.

At first my salesman said he didn't know where they were, he didn't have a way to check, and he didn't have a way to track them. After a bit of that, he just stopped responding all together. Now I haven't heard from him in like almost 2 weeks I think. Not even a text. I'm also having a hard time contacting the general sales manager, but I've only been trying for 2 days on that so I'm willing to give him a break for now.

Becky kindly called me and suggested I contact him and ask certain questions. It's the "contacting them" part that seems to be the challenge now.

Is your car at the dealership? If so, is it missing all items you've ordered, or just like 1 or 2?

My car has been at the dealer since Friday morning. It was missing two LPO items - rally stripes and knee pads. Supposedly rally stripes came in last night. I will pick up on Friday with the knee pads.

I put some additional LPO context in the newbie thread. A friend of mine was able to look begin the curtain and find out what was really going on.

Becky is wrapping up my order with paperwork. I should be able to pickup Friday but around here during rush hour, traffic is terribad due to multiple construction projects on our highways. I think I can hold out one more night and get it on Saturday morning when most of the city is still hungover.
