Anyone give you an idea what the estimated hp is? Does it have cameras built in?

As for the PMs, I don't know what you're talking about....

These two cars (one auto, and one manual) were running laps around the track for almost 2 hours straight. The rotors were glowing red, the cooling fans were screaming...and they just kept up lapping, without any argument.
My concern though is I'm sure they tested the Zo6 extensively and it had some problems. It was a big turn off/let down for me because I am aggressively setting myself up for a ZL1 purchase in the near future. Reading your post about seeing the ZL1 perform for yourself and reporting 2 hrs worth of track time without issues makes me feel a little better. Just hope this experience will reflect how it will perform when it's released to the public.

Damn. And I said I was completely happy with my 2014ZL1....then this has to come out. This is the only and I mean ONLY thing I'd ever contemplate letting my 2014 go for. Damnit.....I can't afford to get into a new ZL1 now since we are starting our house build but GOOD LORD! I wish I could figure it out!

This is AWESOME!

I'm glad they called this the ZL1 and not a Z28 or Z/28.

There are no fears for this overheating. It has more space and a ton more cooling than the Z06. Even the Z06 issues were blown out of proportion due to a damaged test car and some owners have air bubbles in the cooling system. Tadge said from the beginning the a8 wasn't ideal for serious tracking, but they do have some issues that is now taken care of.

If that car was "on the edge" of being fine or having issues, there is much more cooling built into this.

Looks great, and sounds great. However I'm a little disappointed the rear end does not have more functional down force..

Um, why? Someone like me will just buy this as my 2nd car. Or 3rd. I went form a 14 Zl1 to a 15 GTR to a 16 Z06/Z07 within a year. I was waiting for the Zl1 to come out so I can buy it! I will be one of the first ones.

I'm curious how the supercharger will effect the cars balance. The Camaro SS already has a front/rear weight distribution of 54%/46% This is obviously gonna add some more weight on the nose. I just wonder how much.

Now to get the true HP numbers and tech specs
The initial write up already indicated they did two hours of continuous laps, stopping only to switch passengers or gas up. Seems it's not going to be a problem like it was/is on the Z06.
