Well you did a good job, it looks great in white. I agree, the ZL1 would be a dream car!

So what is it that makes everyone think it's so much better? The GT350 TP is the one the 1LE will be out to beat. And based on the SS numbers, it won't need much to shut it down.

Top end speed is what I refer to, and why I mention long straights being the downfall of the SS in a race against the GT350. You are right about power to weight, but don't forget the GT350 has 70 more HP.

As amazing as the voodoo is though, it is very focused! I would rather have an LT1 due to the 'practicality' of the power band. I do just fine, but am no baller so could never afford a track focused car and would need it to pull double duty and be a great DD too. The voodoo just has no balls down low, which is irrelevant on the track but important for a DD(for me).

If you would like to know anything in particular, let me know - I'll make sure to include it in my questions if I haven't already!
Can you ask if the 1LE will incorporate the eLSD used in the C7/Z51 & Z06. I'm guessing it would make a lot of sense and follow in line with what they had done with Z51 package on C7.

Look at what some of the competition did on their next-gen — it’s heavier; it doesn’t quite perform as well as the last one. I can tell you that. If you think about Z/28 and ZL1, SS — think about the satisfaction that a ZL1 offers you today off of current Zeta. Think about that satisfaction moved down from an accessibility and model-range standpoint. Think about that. If you like the ZL1 today, you’re going to love the SS tomorrow. Think about that from a philosophical standpoint.

It's MY opinion based on what IS KNOWN as of RIGHT NOW....Not speculation...

It was a freaking comparison of a TRACK SPECIFIC car...NOT, I repeat NOT how freaking fully loaded the damn thing is...I want a TRACK car...not a bunch of crap inclusive then a 1LE.

In my OPINION...for what the 1LE is NOT known of ...versus what the GT 350 IS NOW....was a comparison of BOTH cars and the deficiency of 70 to 75 horsepower...

Wasn't meant to get your cherry panties in a bunch...It was a mere statement that the 1LE better step up its game to compete...But I guess for you, I will add what is between the lines cause I guess you couldn't read it.
You don't know what the 1LE will come with, but it didn't stop you from picking a 2SS with every package ticked and and then guessing on price of a 1LE package to compare it to a GT350 with the track package only.. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. This is what Ford boys do. With a little bit of common sense, you could see what's wrong with comparing a fully loaded car to one that you can't equip equally.

FORD DOES NOT LET YOU EQUIP A TRACK AND TECH PACKAGE ON THE GT350 at same time.

Which means a more fair comparison would be to start with a 1SS and build from there, which is 5k cheaper than 2SS.

Below is an excerpt of what you posted.. Now, tell me again how I'm cherry picking and making things up after you look at your own post.

"Pricing a 16 2SS with all the performance goodies offered (Brembo upgrade, Mag, NPP) puts a Camaro at $49k....then add what, $4000-$4500 for 1LE. $54k for a 1LE that for all intents, comparable price wise to a GT350, but not close in tech and performance.

$56 for how I want my 350 built...or a 17 1LE with 70 less hp for the same price?

GM better step up the tuning/weight/performance of the LT4 if they want my bones.
"

Please, go on and tell me how a fully loaded 2SS isn't close in tech to a GT350 with just a track package.. No point discussing track performance because neither of us know what the 1LE will be capable of, but I'd bet anything it will be closer than what the Ford boys would like.

It takes a different (non-street racing) sort of mindset to truly understand street driving a fairly serious road course car. In normal driving, 300-ish ft-lbs of torque is more than adequate. In a race or at a track day, you won't be operating way down there (below 3500 in the Voodoo's case) any more than you'd be racing/tracking down below about 2500 rpm in a manual transmission SS.

All it "loses" is instant response to the kind of street challenge we're not supposed to talk about here. Which doesn't mean much to a road course driver anyway.

i agree, a fair comparison is a 1ss MRC, NPP, brembo to the GT350

just built one and its $43,060.
this car should be easier to negotiate or use the college discount(around $2k off on the website) and can be combined with $1,000 pop up offers

the gt350 is $48,695 (probably a bit harder to negotiate, no program offers on Shelby)

both include destination

Don't forget GG tax on the GT350.

You sound jaded.

It's a great engine that screams uniqueness. Since I've been in one, no you do not have to rev the piss out of it to get anything out of it. It's quite capable on the street at any RPM.

Gives me that same feels as the LS7.

Doubtful, may add too much cost. That would be more of a Zxx item I think. The 1LE option needs to be under $4000 at most...
