Probably won't be much to talk about until Canyon reveal.

Sadly the discussion is going to dry up LONG before they are available. I guess GM will try to keep us on the string by revealing the Canyon in month or two. Then a month or two after that we will start hearing more details on confirmed power and mpg ratings. Then finally months later they will start making their way into magazine reviews and dealer lots.

Which is why I'd prefer if GM shortened the run-up from reveal to launch from about a year to 6 months or less. It would be really cool if ordering opened up right when they show off the car for the first time. But 6 or so months from showing the car or truck to building it seems reasonable to me. If anything, it would allow them to keep the 201_ Shiny New Thing on the top of everyones mind for longer leading up to the release as there would be an almost continuous stream of info coming out about it.

Yeah if ordering was open in 6 months for these I'd be a buyer. .

The only reason I'd consider giving GM a pass this time is because there actually is a pretty high demand and interest for this truck.

Encore's reveal was inexcusable. There was absolutely no point to reveal it a year before production.

Is the ass dragging because they truly need the development time or for some other reason?

Not sure. They might still be working on revamping Wentzville to produce them.

Sooo ... if they waited until spring, the interest & demand would go away?

I think they want to sprinkle information through out the year and keep interest in this truck. So this was a good starting point with what the truck will look like and some of the stuff powertrain wise. But still more info to come like MPG Crash ratings prolly some cold weather testing and fine tuning of suspension and what not.

soooo....Looks to be a great little truck and may be considering changing out my S-10 for this as my DD..my only concerns are: The lower front end really screams Toyota Tacoma, in fact there is a red one on the Toyota website that mimics the new Colorado, there is not manual tranny option and for Pete's sake no regular cab!!??

Thank you very much sir! Laser Blue sounds very promising. Glad to see Rally Yellow added. A sporty truck deserves some sporty colors. I hope this truck is very successful as I hope to have one someday.

You can check them out at the consumer site.

Rally Yellow and Laser Blue both look pretty good on Colorado.
