Here's a link to the install of the footwell lights from Gen5DIY. It should help you locate where they are, or should be, in your car.

Judging from what others have said about them (I searched around the forums to see if it was worth being sad I didn't get them) they aren't very bright, though they should match the color of the interior spectrum lighting when it is on. Our footwells have white LED lights by default (which is a nice bonus I think) so when you open the doors it will overpower the footwells and they may well not be visible then at all.
