I think so as well. If a tune got them 50rwhp, then a pulley and intake would put it over 700rwhp.

If you like Mulholland, you'll love Route 74 from Hemet down to Palm Desert. It's epic.

I get tired of this mag article crap....
We always know before the mag comes out anyways...
I am sure there is a little more to it. I remember they ran some lightweight suspension on the 5.0s when they did this..

If its a pulley, then it is a lower, because I had heard the TVS on the 2013 GT500 cannot run a smaller pulley then what is on there. It is a different snout vs. what was on the FRPP TVS.

2013 TVS on the 500 is 2.72 and is about 13.6 lbs of boost. They can put a 2.59 which would give them 16+ lbs. figure on the old 5.4 each lbs of boost was 12-13 hp at 8.4 compression and 330 cubes. Let's say they get 14.5 hp with new motor and 9.0 plus bigger slugs so tune and pulley is close to 90 rwhp. Throttle body's are good for about 20 rwhp at 16 lbs on the old condor motors so I'm sure same on the trinity. Figures 110 hp from quick bolt ons and tune. When they put on a whipple 3.4 or 4.0 look out. As we will need a buggati to catch them.

I read or heard somewhere that the block was punched out to 5.8 from 5.4 and that it was maxed out, hence the oil squirters. Do you think this might be a problem later when people want more power? Just wondering.

Are you serious? More power? They gained 50 whp, and tq. just from a tune. You do the math.

Here are some numbers of a guy that just took his '13 GT500 to the 1/4 mile track last night (Milan Dragway). He hasn't posted the DA yet or his slips, but the numbers seem legit enough. dragtimes shows it was probably around 1800ish DA at that track. Pretty good numbers....about what I was expecting for the kind of power those are putting out stock.

Thats intense for minor mods. I'm sure we'll see bolt on gt500's hit 9's on slicks this summer. Maybe light suspension mods.

-intake, lower pulley, throttle body, headers back, tune. 750whp recipe and the stock fuel system is more than up for the job. That 140mph in 3rd gear is a big advantage.

Why would oil squirters give any indication that cylinder wall thickness is too thin for more power? The decision to include squirters is more likely because of high piston speeds due to long stroke. The bore probably is about as wide as they'd want to make it, but that doesn't mean there isn't more power on the table.

i'm running piston squirters still in my 5.0

1 point lower compression than stock, .10 over and making 1003 rwhp

far from maxed out

the 5.8 will be the same
