I did not know that, lol. If you look back, the point was the performance pack is cheaper. Chevy should offer a performance pack for the I4/V6 model for those who want some added performance for the street but don't need a full on track setup.

Yeah, the Mustang has the Camaro there, if that's your thing. But when's the last time a Mustang offered a sunroof?

Debatable. There are other reasons why Mustang sales have been higher before we start assuming something like that.

It's subjective. More consumers in general do find the Mustang to be a better looking car. For the base models 2019+ I actually think it is a tie for the entry level models.

How many consumers do you think really struggled that much over turbo-4 vs V6? When Chevy ditches the V6 in the Camaro, it'll be for the same reason Ford did in the Mustang: too few other models used it to make it economical. Ford doubled down on EcoBoost years ago, while Chevy's latest high feature V6 line is slowly diminishing but still pretty widely used.

I just think it'd make it easier for consumers. Have one entry level engine competing with the Ecoboost. Consumers do not need to decide between the two or get turned off by one engine layout or another. With one entry level layout possible, from there it will be down to interior/exterior options. As well as performance packages.

Again, it's priced like an LT1 with still more torque and power

The new LT1 is a good offering for those who want to get in the V8. I'm not debating about that, I thought the appeal of the SS was just fine and the value is there. I believe the problem lies in the packaging of the entry level models.

I live in a right to work state, but the SUV "Blazer" being 100% made in Mexico is also a big turn off to me. The new Bronco will own the segment with Jeep. A total waste of the name Blazer and what it used to mean.

Wasn't the same thing said about the Camaro? Little sales to rental or fleet, focus on higher retail profit per units rather than volume sales. Worked so well for Camaro sales, now apply to Silverado to join Camaro in third place in the segment. BTW, a reason we bought my son a V6 rather than a turbo 4 is that we didn't want to buy premium fuel for the life of a car we hope he plans to keep for many years that gets about 30 mpg on the road.

I'm a loyal GM customer but they're forcing my hand to change. Everyone has their opinion as to why the 6th generation didn't sell that well. For me, it just needed to be a little more practical. I'm not expecting SUV practicality but I need something in addition to the great performance. Such a shame and a mistake to abandon the Camaro "again" and all cars in general. If the focus will be on trucks and SUV's, then look at what Lincoln/RAM is doing with their interiors!
