I'm running 18" take offs simply because there is always a selection of take-offs in 18's, and I like the lower weight and gearing advantage. Plus my buddy gave me the wheels for almost nothing! If I were buying another set of wheels, I'd get the 19 x 10.5 et22 and run square 305.

Yes, I'm using the Cosworth Toolbox. I had no idea how much tech was built into the PDR package before I purchased my car. I've pulled up my laptop after a session and reviewed the data with some of my track buddies... they couldn't believe it.
cool, thanks for the info. Assuming it's a Windows Laptop as I don't see Mac support at the moment (some people use dualboots I believe). I will need to get a better laptop to do some better analysis and am trying to decide between a Mac or Windows oh well

That's what I did, I have a cheap Dell 2-in-1 13" with an SSD so it can handle being roughed up a bit. It started as the Miata's Megasquirt 3 laptop but has now expanded to a trackside Cosworth data analyzer. It has an SD card slot too which is really handy for the PDR.

The Cosworth software is really great. I've been looking at my best laps and seeing that I'm still over-braking for a couple corners. Clicking and grabbing the "car" cursor lets you see the exact speeds at any point on the track. It's great for seeing how much you over-slowed [or under-slowed!] entering a corner versus your speed at the apex and exit.

Just a heads up that since stock 10F wheel has ET20 you'd likely wish to reduce vs increase the offset on a wider 10.5F wheel not to affect strut clearance. As one of the members has suggested in a wheels/tires section ET13 would likely be perfect. BTW if /when I decide to get a second set of rims it will defo be 10.5F 11R in 19. Cheers!

BMWCCA Track day this weekend. Lots of F80 M3/M4s out there. One, in particular, was fun to chase at the end of the video. He had Hoosiers on and I managed to make push him into making a mistake.

Those times are pretty rediculous for a non-aero street car.
I bit the bullet and decided to buy a set of these today. Hopefully i can try them out next weekend. Ill post my results.
Thanks Provoste

Let us know about the Re71R's. I have some friends who weren't super thrilled with the consistency and duration they lasted on the track.

You won't be dissapointed. I have ~ 3500 miles and 4 track weekends on mine. They wear faster than the OE GS3's, but their grip in wet and dry is amazing. Don't hesitate to flip fronts (despite rotation arrows indicating you shouldn't). Directionality is intended for wet water voiding. Also, as I heard from my Pcar friends, the less tread the better--they've gotten faster as they've worn. I'm having my fronts & rear tires flipped this weekend to help extend life. Fronts wear the outside shoulder faster than rears, rears wear centers faster than fronts.

Thanks for the info! What cold and hot tire pressures are you rinning ?

I've been starting at 28 cold on fronts, 28.5 cold on rears. The RE71R's on the Camaro work well in the 34 hot range.

Thanks you! I had them max out my negative camber on both front and rear. Plus im finally getting my car back from TPC Racing after they completed building the dsc suspension controller. Hopefully it's as good or better than the one they designed for the gt3.

Surprisingly, 28 cold PSIs worked on almost all the tires I had at the track. I typically start with 28psi and maybe lower the front pressures about 1 psi if I feel some understeer due to excessive heat up front (especially on a hot day).
34-36 hot PSI seemed like the sweet spot also for many tires (same with RE71Rs)

Another reason why I am very skeptical of running tires like Cup 2s since the target PSIs seemed to low.At rennlist forums people claim that they're happy with 30-32 hot PSI . In order to achieve those targer PSIs, starting PSIs should be at around 25-26 (or even less maybe) and I wouldn't feel confident running the pressures that low on a heavier car like a Camaro. I know that it caused TPMS issues on the previous Gen Camaros and the guy who brought his GT350 almost had bald tires after one event and maybe 500 miles on them (first trip to ORP and first ever event)
