Just like there is a version of the LT1 in GM's new pickups.

Not the same, but in the same family.

So basically all along it was the price, not the claimed ugliness people were saying. Just as I thought. Camaro owners are a bunch of cheap fuks

It could still be that too.

The sales didn't suddenly leap to over 10,000 cars...the jump was only 973 cars from the previous month, and only about 1,300 cars over the Gen 5 in September of last year.

Meanwhile the Mustang saw a drop of 1,800 cars month to month.

It wasn't that big of a shift.

Looks are definitely not it. The Mustang didn't suddenly get uglier and the Camaro nicer, money plain and simple. Less people buying with the economy sliding and more discounts helping those wanting a Camaro.

'ON SALE' signs will always bring in some buyers who can't turn down a 'bargain'.

I saw the headline and thought, Ok, now this will shut people up about Mustang Vs Camaro sales for a while. Of course, only a couple days old post and we're on page 15, of yeah but that's a blip, yeah but worldwide, yeah but.... If you're looking for big sales (I don't care less and am perfectly fine with lesser sales), then just take this in and enjoy.

Btw, did you ever consider that being the underdog, means they'll try harder to improve the product. Although, IMHO, not much to improve upon.

Mustang has been averaging about $3k in incentives for the MY and Camaro WAS around $1100 until last month. How much money is Ford making on all those cheap sales?

In Oregon it's only been $250-$500 on Mustang hoods...been that way since 2014

It doesn't matter about your area but the grand scheme of things.

what exactly are the incentives Ford is offereing that come to +-$3000? We know GM is offering a straight %16 off , but the only way I can come up with $3k off the Mustang is through multiple incentives with stipulations that may not even work together.

For example I could get $2000 trade in assistance for trading my 2013 in +$750 bonus cash from a brochure coupon, but thats not the same as putting $3k on every hood

Ford is shutting down the Mustang assembly plant for 1 week because of the 32% decline in sales.

Wrong. I work at GM at the plant that builds the Colorado/Canyon. For 2017 - New V6, new 8 Speed trans, no sheet metal or interior changes = REFRESH, or more technically known as MCE (Mid Cycle Enhancement). There are various levels of MCE depending on the extent of changes.

Why does it really matter? Sales is only a number. Bottom-line, enjoy your ride. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed so get moving.
