This would be one of the main reasons for upgrading to the new ZL1 platform....

Not having the 10spd auto is going to hurt roll out sales IMHO.

They did the same thing when the C7 ZO6 rolled out. It was just with the M7 trans only, but eventually the autos started to roll out. I have to believe it's a trans worth waiting for.

Meh, it just means the roughly 1/3 of people who want a stick get moved to the front of the line. It won't hurt total sales unless the auto is *severely* delayed.

From the start this car was exciting and it was fun. Then it turned into a process. Then it turned into a chore. It's becoming a PITA.

I'm leaving for Michigan Wednesday morning. Maybe there will be a Dodge dealership on the way there.

Thumbs down. I am not happy!
I wouldn't be too in a hurry to pull the trigger on anything I wasn't absolutely sold on. Give Chevy a bit of time to finish the A10 test and trials, it has to be right or there will be a lot of trash talked on it. Brand new product which will be the trans to get from here forward. They want it right. I'm fairly sure the ZL1 is going to deliver more than promised.

Epic gm fail IMO. How can they have put out final stats when the trans is not finished, and how have they made dozens already, are they overheating in stock form?...is it a lack of hardware problem?

Transparency goes a long way. Especially to picky future Camaro buyers.

I suspect the issue is production ramp up, not technical problems.

Agree 100% it's a supply and demand problem ...

Think I'll wait aswell. Makes more sense money wise. 5-7 months though, wonder if the zl1 will hold my interest. Who knows what vehicles will be made for My18, ctsv with A10?

We had a QC issue back in 12, it made a lot of us get a 13. It might not even be GMS fault. Might be a supplier issue. They usually are pretty tight lipped about it. Better they catch the issue pre-production, it probably saves the buyer some headaches. I feel for you guys.

I'm kind of glad this is happening. It will give me time to see if the moment surpasses for wanting one.

With all the issues already, unavailability of the latest and greatest transmission and the fact that my Gen5 ZL1 has been a very good car other than the early issue supercharger problem, I believe the spark is dying for me with this car. That could be part of the sales issue with this new car. The Gen5 didn't have a previous car to live up to even though it had issues of its own.

Anyone else now having their own internal debates about the virtues of the m6? I can't believe I'm now having this discussion with myself because I don't wanna wait any longer.

I am ... Just got out of a M6 in my Z06... Really wanted the MXO

Only thing I have going for me is even if I switched to M6 it "MAY" arrive in time to drive for 2-3 weeks then I have to store it until the salt comes off the roads ... End of March first of April...

So I may have just answered my own dilemma ... Not drive the 2-3 weeks and get what I want anyways.

I'll wait
