Finally got everything in order to do the steps prescribed by Glen. Got it washed with Dawn tonight and got the Blackfire Polish on. I still need to do the final step of crystal seal, will do a couple coats between tonight and tomorrow. One question I did have, was the 6 hour wait in between steps 2 and 3? Or am I good to apply the crystal seal (it's been about 2 hours since Polish has been on)

After only 2 out of the 3 steps it's looking good!

There is no waiting between polish and 1st CS coat, 2nd CS Coat 2-3 hours later. No rain for 24 hours.

Cool thread. I'm loving all these cars. I've had it for 6 weeks now. Of course as soon as I buy a car I want to wash/ polish our 5 year drought comes to an end and it rains every weekend. I bought a bunch of products from Adams and went to work between storms. I'm tempted to try Glens method and compare.

Dawn wash
Clay bar
Two bucket car shampoo wash/foam cannon
Heavy correcting compound
Correcting polish
Finishing polish
Two bucket car shampoo again
Butter wax

It looked as if the dealership used sandpaper to detail it when I picked it up. The scratches and swirls are gone. The paint has a great depth and shine.

Got the first coat of CS on. With the matte hood none of that goes on correct? I didn't polish or CS it. I saw a different thread with recommendations for caring and cleaning for the 1LE hood, so I had planned on using those.

Final product. Worthy of "show your reflection". Thanks for all the useful information in this thread. Special shout out to Glen for his DIY documentation!

Now Take your best, cleanest, plushest, microfiber towel and keep it with you this week. As you drive the car, you'll see a little spot here or there, where there is a little bit a extra Crystal seal, it wipes right off.

Now read about how to do a rinseless wash to keep it looking this way. Duragloss rinseless -and ONR - is infused with Polymer, supercharges the Crystal seal.......

Does this reflection make me look fat?

Finally got her detailed properly....

Wash- Meguiars Ultimate wash and wax
Clay Bar-Used meguiars quick detail and clay bar
Wax- Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax

She is gonna be garage kept and never see the rain so I'm probably not going to seal it. I enjoy waxing the 'old school' way too much.

Well here's mine.

I have a ceramic coat on the car. I use the Torq foam cannon with a pressure washer for washing, dry the car with nothing but Happy Endings microfiber towels from CG. I'm sure you guys have heard of their Blacklight, i applied it with their Polisher due to it being so much faster and efficient. Make sure you use a pad that wont cut into the paint or the coating on the car, if any. Takes too long by hand. Let it sit & cure for 15-20min. Whipe off, and bammmm!

But if blacklight isn't available, InstaWax works and wet mirron look work pretty darn good too!
Posted some pictures and videos of all this on my Insta, 6thgen_miguel.
