The blackfire polish will take off anything that's really left on the surface. Just do your best with Dawn and microfiber in a bucket and then rinse with another bucket of water. And at the same time clay While using the dawn. I do it all the time. If you are paranoid, get a third bucket of Clearwater and rinse the car again. Then start your blackfire polish.....read the docs in my signature, especially the doc called 'up down side to side" for application of the polish and the Crystal seal.
Thanks Glen. As always, you have the solution for each problem

What should be the ratio of water, Dawn in terms of quantity for Dawn Bucket.
Do you mean that i can use another clean MF dipped, squeezed in another Bucket of clear water and wipe the surface as Rinsing?

I'll put this here as I found it on another forum I used to moderate, this is not some newfangled process, this thread is 3.5 years old!

Did my first rinse less wash on my 1998 Z28 and 2016 1LT this weekend. I've been detailing for years and can't believe I didn't start doing this sooner.

I can't see going back to a hose and buckets unless I take my Camaro's off roading.

Hey Glen,
Now i would start doing rinseless wash from TODAY. Gone through your docs and posts as well. just one question, should i spray Duragloss Aquawax in between applying Duragloss Rinseless wash and drying with weaffle weave towel, or should i spray as last step after drying with weaffle weave towel?
Also do i need to wipe with MF after spraying duragloss aquawax spray?

Seems a silly question but i really new in car washing.

Either one,AW can be a dry or wet application, as I'm a believer in doing the shortest procedure possible, I like to put on the rinseless, the spray AW, then dry with the waffle weave. Remember when you spray the AW, it's only one or two spritzes per panel. Don't go overboard with this stuff.Depending on how OCD you are, you can then wipe/buff with a clean microfiber to smooth everything out. I usually forget this step.

Remember you only use the AW about every third rinseless, don't do it every time. It's not necessary.

Thanks Glen. I did as you suggested above. It's looking so beautiful.

Glad it worked out, after a while, it gets simple. I did my car in 20 minutes tonight across the street in a nice park.

I use duragloss rinseless that already has aquawax and I believe you use the same, right?

Do you still add additional AW on top of that on every 3rd wash?

Yup....but purely optional, a gallon of each last me a year....

Please keep asking questions here or pm me, rinseless is the single biggest thing I've ever found in detailing thats saves you time, money and effort without sacrificing effectiveness. Hands-down.

AND it is the difference between 2 gallons of water for rinseless and 50 (or more) with the hose so it is green! I'm pushing that angle with customers.

OK, Im trying rinseless for the camaro and may wash my wifes Grand Cherokee rinseless sometimes (her fenderwells are carpeted and need to be sprayed out regularly or it looks like crap).

Quick question (sorry if its already been asked) - what do you recommend for cleaning the MF towels? Ive bought a 12 pack of towels from autogeek and some MF towel cleaner. Was the towel cleaner necessary or do you just use regular laundry detergent?
