I was looking at the factory on street view and about half of the lots were empty within the last month or two. So hopefully shipping times get faster.

Since I'm crazy, I estimated that there were 3950 cars in those lots that are now empty. Some of those are Cadillacs too. But somewhere along the line, they moved a lot of cars out of there.

Just hearing you voice your torture gives me ptsd. Wanting a Camaro for 20 years, my extreme Camaro obsession for 3 years - building up to finally being ready to custom order one, the 9 month wait stocking forums and Chevy chat before allocation, the grueling month wait for production, and the extremely stressful week getting finances ready for delivery. It super stresses me out going through it in my mind.
I can’t say it was all worth it but it’s easy to forget when I open the door. It’s the most amazing car I’ve ever seen and it’s mine. Hang in there.

Yep. When I got allocation the stress was real. A new $900 monthly payment freaked me out. I had 3 years to think about how to make it work so It’s working out ok. I’m not a wealthy business owner, just a public servant with enough years to have something nice.

I am ecstatic - I was able to locate and secure an unclaimed '23 2SS in Riverside Blue Metallic that is In Transit. Originally, I have a '24 1SS on order and I was going to have Katzkin seat covers and heat/ventilation installed, but due to the upcoming price increase, the '23 2SS is going to end up being cheaper and gives all the additional bells and whistles not included on the 1SS.

This car is important to me as I am getting it in homage to my dad, who unexpectedly passed away last year. He passed his love of cars on to me, and it was something we bonded over. He always fawned over the blue 1969 Camaro Z28 he had growing up. Not knowing if I would get an allocation for a '24 was wearing on me even though I had an order submitted on 6/15, and then the price increases motivated me to watch for new cars on Chevrolet's site every day.

Generic, I totally get it. When I first got my 11' 2ss my dad jumped in it and wanted a picture, he has since passed and I have the picture up in my garage. My mom is still around at 82 and when I got the 23' she got in and took same picture as my dad and it also will go on the garage wall next to his. Yes, we took it for a ride.
