Yet when he finally moved up he was able to wear nice clothes. I cannot believe people are comparing a line job to a desk job as far as a dress code.

The way these people are dressed has nothing to do with your paint it sucks that you have to go through this :-( .. And you shouldn't I do agree with that someone needs to step up and get this figured out for you.. And from what I've been seeing around there are so many badly painted camaros some lawyer should step up with a class action if GM is not willing to fix it in the best interest of the consumer.
I'm sorry if that offends you , bu I've do concrete for a living and I still go to work looking proper PJS ?? , I'm sure your dad didn't wear them to work , my dad also worked in a factory and I have family that still works for GM and they don't go to work in PJ'S .
But it's about how people can let something like this happen , one of the reasons I bought a 16 Camaro was because production came back to the USA , I have nothing against Canada but I was excited for our country to get A American icon back to produce , I have a 67 Camaro and I'm very proud of it because it's a symbol of American Craftsmanship. What the real message from me is Pride Show some !

Enjoy your crusade for higher standards. I don't expect you're going to make very much progress complaining about the clothes that some random employees wear in a generic candid photo on a Camaro forum, in an individual's problem-story thread.

I really think the subject was just a joke and I thought It was funny sarcasm, I know it was me and I was a supervisor just for the safety aspects I wouldn't allow PJ'S, why so serious??? The serious issue is that quality obviously is poor and to look your car over , I'm not jacking this thread because GM fan boys want to change the subject

As for the dress of the workers......it is silly talk. I normally wear business casual but *gasp* I wore jeans last Friday (casual Friday's....) and guess what? I gave the same effort that I would have if I were wearing a 3 piece suit.

Luckily my car has been perfect thus far (which I would bet represents the vast majority of Gen 6 Camaro owners) and if that guy who had the pajama pants helped build my car then more power to him, lol.

Seriously, I would never wear pajama's to work, or personally wouldn't want my employees to but you don't know that guy either, he could be a good worker and as far as all the others in the video wearing jeans, t-shirts, ball caps....who cares? If they were part of the crew that helped make my car, then kudos to them.
I honestly should have been more direct , I wear jeans and boots to work , I do concrete for a living and being dirty is part of the game but I don't wear Pjs that's is what I mean by presentation, when dealing in customer service there has to be some type of presentation.
The real issue is the dealership NOW!, Chevrolet has been working with me and trying to get them to do the right thing , there is no doubt about that. I just want people to know that they have to check these cars out before signing on the dotted line , it's very important to check the car out because we have all seen that there is a issue and if we just ignore it and don't let the proper people know that there is a issue it will never get fixed , I want this car to succeed because ultimately I love the design, but I also don't want to be laughed at when I go to a car show or race track and some Mustang fan comes over and points out the missing paint and I get laughed at!!!!

You have to admit - this paint job should have been caught by any of a couple HUNDRED eyes along the way down the line.

You can leave it alone all you want. I will not nor will I let anyone. GM has to be held to a much higher standard.
I totally agree, being bias never helps. I feel certain people turn a blind eye as long as it's not them getting the shaft , and yes that was my point how many eye's looked at These cars before they left., I'm not the only one that's for sure , And on how it's made the show steps of quality that these cars are supposed to be subject to . I was on contact with a new Rep today Very nice and I feel confident that this will get results. Just if your ordering or buying off the lot take a look.

Not at all. Very different situations: Personal experience vs conjecture with no facts.

That's why I stopped pushing. I have no intention of further derailing the thread off the topic of your paint issues and GM/Dealer responsibility. Some seemed to be responding far more serious than a joke or sarcasm...

For the record; I really do feel bad for your experience. These cars that have "escaped" the plant with poor paint shouldn't have. No idea why, but it's unacceptable and the situation needs to be rectified (if it hasn't been already). And I hope they do what's right by you.

I appreciate that very much , I'm a bowtie fan and I really do Love my chevys , I've seen alot of friends and family move and Lose alot because people became complacent at their jobs with GM , I don't want to see this happen to the good hard working people because of a "FEW" bad apples.
I just want to say that this car is absolutely amazing, that is what makes me so upset that the paint is bad on these cars , this car done right with proper QC , is the best car for the money out there . That's a fact

I wish it was so....conjecture with no facts....Unfortunately it appears to be a fact that Pajama Boy and friends are shown in a news article being trained as employees for the Camaro assembly line.

Here's the thread with the related news article and photos included. Informal? perhaps....Nonetheless, he's in his pajamas. Conjecture on the formality and context is something you seem to add. The facts look otherwise.

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showth...hlight=pajamas

At any rate, someone is dropping the ball on QC, or work in the paint department.....Pajama boy would be my first suspect. Maybe he does the robot programming. No-one else is offering any other logical explanation.

Ed China from Wheelers and Dealers dresses like a slob when he's working on the cars from the show, and he's one of the best mechanics I've seen. Saw him at an auto auction in the US. He cleans up okay.

I've known far more shady A-holes that wear suits everyday to work than people that strap boots and jeans on everyday.
