Hello. It is not released here yet either. I talked to a Camaro engineer and they are trying to get it out before SEMA this year.

Yes it did and who knows maybe!! For whatever reason they are still working on getting them certified for all states before releasing them. Like I said I was told in person he is pushing for them to be out right before SEMA this year. Hope they get it done. My thing is though they will have missed out on a lot of sales because people went with something else that was already out! I am still waiting on Roto-Fab to release theirs.

UPDATE:
First I would like to thank everyone again for your patience and courtesy during this R&D process. This has by far been the most time consuming intake system we have ever developed. I am excited to announce that we are in production on 2016 CAI components! We are using a custom filter configuration to go with our larger air box. The new filters should be complete in about 2 weeks. It is our goal to have everything else in place for shipment by the time filters are complete. Below are a couple pictures that offer a closer look at our new air box design and filter options. We did have a question about the air inlet source(s) for the air box. You will notice in the pictures we have incorporated a feature on the air box for a potential secondary air source. New Roto-fab air box, the potential secondary inlet can be seen to the right of the standard air inlet. Left: Roto-fab dry filter option, Right: Roto-fab oiled filter |

Which is best, oiled filter or dry and can you explain the optional secondary air source?

Oiled filter is supposed to be better versus the dry filter.

Whereas dry filters, slap it on and forget about it... It is recommended to clean them every so often, I cleaned mine every spring. The procedure usually is the same, some suggest using an actual cleaner, some just clean it with water. I just cleaned it with water, let it dry and done. |

Have you released a price yet? Thanks for your hard work and getting this system right to give us the most out of a cold air intake.
