At least you honest where it counts.

After the Mustang spanking it came to the 5.0 Foxbody were easy to mod (never said otherwise, I did say their handling sucked), to well the PP1 did not have tires, even though IMO the PS4 tires on the PP1 are better than the F1s on the Camaro, then it was but the PP1 tires are smaller, now we have 840 whp supercharger only, and Mustangs never fail under boost, not one time ever. Now the Mustang is comfortable to drive and resale on certain models, pretending that somebody actually purchased a Boss at MSRP. But yep just like every blown Mustang has no problems, every Ford guy rolls a Boss or a Shelby at or even below MSRP. Yet no Chevy guy I know ever rolled a Camaro below MSRP.. LOL

Well, let's be honest. No, wasn't drinking, but I was high as hell. I thought it was the Hellion car the whole time, but I looked up the MAK run. Looks like some good stuff. I was just going off of the statements from the trolls on my YouTube channel.

I was simply going off statements.............stock with blower only. That wasn't stock with blower only. There were a list of other mods included DR's and skinnies that were never mentioned either.

That Hellion set up looks like a monster tho.

Looking back, I should of NOT spent $7k on wheels. Haha. I'd be at 900 HP right now. But, since I only street race, to me, that's too much power unless I put on DR's and go out for the night. I can barely keep what I have straight.

Trust me I know where your coming from, there is only so much useable power on street tires. I think I would have more fun with 500-550whp n/a than where im at now and more is just lunacy.

Agreed. I'm trying to find that balance of where I can go. I still think 800 hpish is still doable on a better street tire. I need to burn off the Goodyears, then go 315 R888R in the rear.

don't know how disagreeing with the PP1 tuning could ever be interpreted as anything other than I think it was at least a mild form of 'wrong'. Certainly wrong for me.

And why wasn't it the competitor to the 1LE? Because it lost? It was the competitor to the 1LE. It didn't stand a chance. And I'm guessing a lot of people knew that.
We're almost there.

Me, for something to be a competitor it needs to be at least an adequate competitor, which it wasn't (that 3 second margin equates to over a football field in terms of distance). Same general car category, yes. The best that Ford claims to have had on hand, I'll give them this (with prejudice). But being nowhere near what they should have sent up against the best track-oriented NA Camaro means that in any sort of competition that gets classed by performance potential instead of just 'run what ya brung' takes it out of direct competition. SCCA thinking vs street night at the local dragstrip, if that makes sense.

I finally just read the aforementioned MT article. I wonder though, did Ford pitch the PP1 GT as a 1LE competitor or did we/MT just make that assumption? Clearly Ford is in a bind here. If they made even the PP2 run with the SS 1LE this would step on GT350 toes. But what's up with the lack of additional cooling? So maybe the PP1 is more of a plain vanilla SS competitor. But it sure sounds like the PP1 would lose to the SS too in a handling duel.

The new GT is very close to the SS in speed, but the standard SS is a little faster in the 1/4 than the 1LE. So still a slight edge to the Camaro there except where the run is longer than the 1/4. At least for the M6es.

As far as power modding goes on the SS and GT whatever difference there might be is inconsequential. With some $$,$$$ you can build a car that can easily get thrown out of any drag strip where you have to come back with a cage to run again. The power war is all but over, but on a race track Chevy has taken the lead with the 5th and 6th gens. That doesn't seem to sell cars though. And the 1LE, as good as it is, is still a secret known only to tracksters. Ford is getting more play with some appearance stuff and a few parts to pump up the 302 with the Bullitt. The Bullitt will be more peaky than the standard GT.

I would have to believe that Ford never pitched that the PP1 was a competitor for the 1Le , in fact i have read that Ford has said that the PP2 is not a direct competitor for the 1Le . The only mustang that is a competitor for the 1Le is the GT350 /350R .

That's been my impression since the PP(1) first showed up in the 2015 MY - IMO it's right about where the base suspension/wheels/tires should have been (and not terribly different from 2017 SS specs). Then your easy matchup would have been GT (base) vs SS (base) instead of GT (basically base) vs 1LE.

I think the GT350R was aimed a little higher . . . like at the 5th gen Z/28 level.

Is this why so many Boss owners are selling their cars?

But to be serious, this is again an inaccurate statement. Autotrader search shows than you can get a boss with less than 15,000 miles for $29k-$30k. The lowest 1LE is listed at $36,500. With that said, I love the Boss. Was looking at them a few years back when prices still hung around $40k and owners were unwilling to dump them. Couldn't afford them then. By the time they were in my price range, GT350 was out.

They chose both because they are the 'performance' trims offered by the manufacturers on those models. At that point PP2 was only a point of discussion and rumors.

Ford would never say that the GT350 is a competitor to the 1LE, that would drop you huge egg on their face. How can you be $13k more expensive than your competition? And this is exactly why we'll never see a 1LE vs GT350 head to head.

Well yeah that would make sense but i would think that now in 2018 the GT350/350R closest competitor is the 2018 1Le , sure not the Zl1/1Le . This is as bad as who's on first .

Where are you getting your data. I compared the 2013 Boss low mileage under 15000 miles, all trims, as it would best compare with the 6th Gen 1LE, Averaging up every vehicle on page 1 (22-vehicles) in autotrader I have an average of $40,878.00, where are you coming up with 29k? If you are tossing in 2012 models they are not as sought after as the 13-model.

You missed the point. Some idiot over on your favorite site was talking about how a GT with the A10 and PP2 can beat Corvettes. And that is why the person you replied to made that statement. But what I don't understand is, since he made that statement about the PP2, why did you feel it necessary to bring up the 1LE when it had nothing to do with anything he said nor what he replied to? Because like I said, you prefer the Mustang over the Camaro. You can deny it all you want tho. Which is amusing to me because I don't understand why you Mustang guys are soo scared to just admit it. It makes absolutely no sense. You guys come over here under pretenses, defend the Mustang, take every chance you get to knock the Camaro, but you're afraid to admit you prefer the Mustang, lol!!
