Out of principle, I'll be canceling my order. That's simply GM taking advantage of customers. A money grab.

Nissan Z here we come...
Good choice. While the Z is way worse performance wise, at least the styling and features are much newer. Plus these cars are/will be easy to extract extra power from them.

Did you reach out to the dealer you have the order with and they verified you'd be getting the increase on your '23 order as well? If so, that is very shitty of GM.

His order is no longer for a 2023. It is now a 2024 order and I can’t imagine any dealer giving someone the 2023 price for a 2024 MY vehicle.

I have not reached out, but about two weeks ago they informed me my car will be a 2024 model.

I have a good relationship with this dealer, and have purchased my current ZR2 and my 2017 Grand Sport (sold) from them.

I'm going to give him some time to react to this price increase news and see what his explanation is, and if there is any flexibility in pricing/trade-in on my truck to close the gap.

Yes, that's my expectation as well. I'll see what he is willing to offer on trade-in and other 'creative' ways to get the price down to closer to what I signed up for.

If that doesn't happen, I can live without a Camaro. My wife wants an auto tranny anyway. My order was for a M6. She's probably smiling inside.

Wow. The '24 version of my early order '23 car costs $3,200 more...

Yep. If I keep my 2023 (switched to 2024) LT1 order I'll need some lube, and not for the moving parts on the car.

THIS is correct. My 2022 ZL1 was STOLEN and WRECKED from the Lansing Grand River Plant(UNDER GM's "WATCH") last May, then had to be switched to a 2023 MY and they were so nice as to make me STILL pay for the $3,200 price increase from '22 to '23 MY...BASTARDS!!

My 2023 Rapid Blue LT1 got wrecked just before a speed shop was to deliver to me after some upgrades they did. So now I have to find one that is the equivalent replacement that probably isn’t the same color and will not be on the MY 2024.

Gotcha... Ya if I was in that position, I would cancel my order same as you.

Seriously? I would have a tough time swallowing that one. That is BS.

Hell, just buy a good used 6th Gen from a previous year. They're practically the same exact car anyways.
