It's somewhat hard to make a true, accurate data analysis as it's hard to say what helps and to what amount. For instance, Hoosiers typically weigh about 4-5 lbs less than other R comps which also help on accelerating, braking and many other things. The sole difference between the compounds and tire shapes are hard to quantify because of that :/

Agree. I use a combo of pace and longevity as the best comparo and leave the rest to techno guys

Ran at Grattan yesterday. The car is quick. I was also able to be quite consistent, staying within a few tenths, traffic notwithstanding. This video is when they moved me to the instructor group, and then I lapped all the instructors too.

Skip to 18:00 for roughly the start of the quickest of this session, a 1.26.6. I did a couple of those this weekend. This car is so easy to get the max out of it.

Nice runs! 26s are booking around Grattan! It's a fun track for bikes too.

Here's a cool shot from the National Covette Museum MSP this past weekend. This picture is shot from the "sinkhole" corner, a crazy uphill tight lefthander. Zach w/ ABI photo takes some killer pictures! This was my first full weekend on RE71R's with some alignment tweaks. The car felt absolutley amazing.

I'm not using any head/neck restraint in this photo. I have a Hans I use in harness equipt cars, the orange cords are the Hans quick release pulls.

I've kicked around getting the Simpson FIA Hybrid system (approved for 3 point belts), but I just bought my adjustable Hans in the last two years. However, I spend 50+% of my time on track in student's cars which are pretty much always 3 point belts, so it probably makes sense to get the Simpson...

I just bought the Simpson head/neck restraint, but im installing a harness bar in my car now..ill probably sell my Simpson device for a good price soon. Only used for two track days.

No, they're a great track tire, but not a slick! I did get within 2.7 seconds of my time on slicks. This is really impressive, as the delta between RE71R/NT01 and slicks is about 5 seconds in the 3.2 mile config @ NCM. It means I can probably get in the 2:11-2:12 range on fresh take-offs. Those times are pretty rediculous for a non-aero street car.

Yep. It's awesome on square tires (the rear still has a larger contact patch due to wider wheel).
