So I pestered the dealership for his order list about 2 weeks ago and found out that my build had been moved down his list to priority 5 with 2 builds coming before my order. WTF?
I truly believe that the dealership kept pushing my order down his list because I was getting the GM employee discount.
When I called the sales manager to find out what was going on and pointed out how my build was obviously being pushed down his list, he knew he was busted.
Within a week he magically got an allocation and "pushed my build to the top of the list" and finally used an allocation for my build. Had I not pushed him I totally believe he would have held off on my build as long as he could because my build was substantially a lower price build.
Needless to say I'm not entirely thrilled to be purchasing from this dealership after seeing the way my order was treated. However now that I've pushed him to use the allocation on my build I'm happy to wait awhile longer to get the exact car I wanted! Good luck, and keep pushing!

Thanks to all who have replied. I will definitely keep calling the dealer once per week, and watch their inventory.

Ugh, so the bottom of the splitter apparently got all hot-n-heavy with something along the way to the dealer (ramps, guessing from the looks of it) and scraped up pretty bad... so now waiting on replacement splitter before I'll take delivery.

Breath deep... patience... breath deep... patience...

My dealer could get an allocation for 6 months, so I decided to pick up a unit in-transit. It was quite hard because there were only 5 manual SS 1LEs within a 500 mile radius of me.
3 weeks after calling dibs on an in-transit unit, lo and behold: my new SS 1LE in Sharkskin Silver.
Now I just need to phone my original dealer to get my deposit back.

Mine was produced the second week of January and still waiting for delivery. You will not get a concise answer. Depends on build and many other factors.

Mine was produced on 2/22 and arrived at the dealer on 3/14. My dealer is located within an hour from the plant.

Hi all. First post here.
Just placed my order Monday with James Martin Chevrolet, who I noticed advertising on this site. I have a friend who is in sales there.
My order is a 2SS riverside blue M6 vert with ceramic white seats, NPP, mag ride, white rally stripes and red calipers.
I'm hoping no constraints in that mix.
Does anyone know if Martin Chevrolet is a high volume dealer and does it matter currently?

I put a deposit down on a 23 2ss redline edition camaro 6m
In January my dealership had a allocation and I have a work order # how long does it take for gm to accept the order and does this mean I am getting my car since they had a allocation for a 2ss camaro?

If they had an allocation in January that matched the car you ordered, then they must not have used it on your order. If they had an allocation in January, the car should have been built in February. Ask your dealer what’s going on.
