You'll get there. So that's East Coast Supercharger, aren't they kinda like the Pro Charger? Drag good drag pack will save 100 lbs. Congrats on the nice pass.

I can't wait to put on the drag pack and let her eat! Should knock down some decent runs during the 2019 season I hope. Thanks I really appreciate it and honestly you/your car have been an inspiration to me since the beginning -Jonathan

Rage you should drop a tenth on rotational weight and you 60' times should improve so I think you'll pick up 2 tenths. I lost 100 lbs with my race star hoosier drag pack.

The next step I'll look into getting tuned on race gas and then possibly look into gears (maybe look into the 3.27s that super fast bolt-on member Snowblind is running seems to work very well vs the 2.77 stock gears and the 3.73s seem to be too much gear for the A8). -Jonathan

A supercharger swap isn’t a bolt on
Great pass Edit... nvm I guess it is for a zl1. A sc isn’t considered bolt on for an SS. Interesting. |

If you look at the first page of this thread, there are very specific requirements for submission and getting added to the fast lists. I'm assuming that the OP cuts-and-pastes the info rather than typing it in. Edit your posts to help him out. Bill

Those ZL1’s are insane... that’s the wish list car
Thanks, goal will be to get as low of an 11 as possible once I add the Ported IM & 95mm TB. If I can squeak out an 11.2 I’ll be happy with myself but man it’s going to take work on that 60’

Thanks I had to add weight for the class and was so borderline on fuel system running e60 so had I been at normal weight and off the e on race gas I think 9.70s-9.60s in that weather is very possible. I got to get my meth system worked out I’m doing some experimenting on it and now wish I had stuck to race fuel for the event. I was around 180 lbs heavier then other 9.99-9.97 passes that had 139-140 mph on them. I could tell the e60 was laying over as my previous 1/8 th avg was 112 mph and best for day was 109. So that weight on race gas with the 1.38 60 foot the best on the day I think 9.70s 142 mph would have been the cars potential.
Really dying to get my hands on one of your 2650s. I was running right with 2 whipple cars at the event and know with a better blower I can put it on many other combos that are shop built. I do my own tuning my own build and know I can really impress with a better blower. Just not impressed with the whipple so why haven’t done one. Been waiting a while for a better one and know can make a 2650 look good. I just don’t have the connections like many others and large shops have so no luck. I’m also only on 13 psi on this car I don’t push the boost like many have with the 1.7 blowers. I have no doubt I can get into the sub 9s with a 2650 and not go to a heads and cam setup. I think that would sell an awful lot of blowers for Magnuson. I’ve got my car and the tuning really figured out been tuning so longer then v8 GM has been around just need more air now and totally taxed this 1.7 for all its worth. Lol again thank you for the comment your a pioneer for the SS guys and many go off your post and builds. If even though your tune might be holding car back in anyway I would be happy to look at a log and see if anything to be gained. My 60 foots a lot of it is the timing I can run in the motor down low. That’s a big part of why I run so well. Getting that 4200 lbs moving is probably the most important part of my runs this past weekend. Seen tuners give up 50-75 whp down low with timing. At first I thought was a 1.33 60 then saw it was 1.38 which is still out doing 95 percent of these cars at my weight. We had to weigh after each pass for the class and I had to get heavy for it. On my normal 4000lbs with driver I think it would have been1.33-1.35 on that same pass. I add skinny’s and it’s wherls up. Lol I think I’m doing a lot with the car currently at this weight and a normal 800-900 da day. Yet to have one of those up north - days to see what she can do. Lol |
