Some people will still not buy one just because it does not have Mercedes written on it.

I remember several years ago when Toyota made both a Chevy version and Toyota version of the Corolla. A magazine (I can't remember which one) did a experiment and brought in a group of people to test drive both and choose the one they would buy. The first test group chose the Corolla 3 to1 over the Chevy. Then they brought in another group but this time all they did was switch the badging. That group did the same thing chose the one with the Toyota emblems over the one with the Chevy emblems...
In other words the quality of the car mattered less to most than the name that was on it.

I have yet to see the Lime Rock Green on a Vette. Guess that just got a little bit harder. Only time I have seen it was when Tony Stewart did some testing on a Vette

AH Yes! Perception is reality and that's where you want to be for a brand. Cadillac used to have the exact same stature that Mercedes enjoys now......

When will we see a bump in HP for the SS? With the Challenger R/T now optioned at 485-hp, and the 5.0 mustang rumored to be 450+hp, I'm curious when Chevy will answer the bell?

I would guess we won't see anything until the 6th Gen Camaros come out. They will most likely get the LT-1 with ~460 HP.

Cadillac's been doing that for too long. 2nd gen CTS was a perfect example of this, being a tweener it either gave you either a bigger car for 3-series money or a smaller but cheaper car compared to a 5-series.

Now that ATS is in place there is absolutely no reason for CTS not to take on 5-series and E-class at their price points.

Well let's just see how the sales numbers come up.

I thought that too....although I don't REALLY think its a 6th gen in disguise lol.

But you have to admit....2016 model year and absolutely NO mules or anything have been sighted yet.

Heck...by this time out I'm pretty sure we were seeing mules or heavily camo'd versions of the new Vette and Mustang.

I can see them taking an ATS or CTS and modifying the panels for mule testing a 6th gen Camaro Alpha chassis.
