I didn't place the order for it, it's one I put a deposit on that was in transit but it's a dealership in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They've been helping me alot and trying to figure out what's going on atleast

Finally found a local dealer to put an order in for me. He told me he couldn't guarantee much, but said if I was patient I would get it eventually. 2023 2SS convertible loaded up. Tipped the scales a hair under $60k.

Brand new here.

I have a '23 2SS 1LE M6 with PDR ordered. I don't have all the details a lot of people on here seem to have, but this is the timeline I've been able piece together.

9/28: the car was "in production and being built"
12/9: the car was ready to "load on a railcar in the next few days"
1/27: it was assigned to Norfolk Southern ()

That's it. The car has been "in-transit" on the dealer's website for close to 3 months now. Along with a ZL1 ordered by another customer.

I've asked the dealer if we can negotiate another delivery option and they said they had no control over it at this point.

Any theories about what could be going on? I know almost everyone is waiting a long time, but it feels like it's been stuck on this step for an extreme amount of time.

I'm also debating giving up and getting a used one that's as close to what I ordered as possible.

I'm in a similar position with mine. My dealer said mine has been sitting at the ATL railyard, only an hour away, since Jan and even showed me last month that the status was at "Rail Ramp Unload". The weird part, however, is that I've never been given or seen an ETA and it's never appeared on the dealer or Chevy website as I've heard is a common way to verify it being in transit.

I also asked about seeing if we could find a different way to get it since it's so close and was told that due to previous scheduling and stuff that like, they are unable to do that.

I feel your pain and have also been contemplating getting something else at this point.

I would just wait.

Your car is built, which is the main battle.

It will ship, and you will get exactly what you wanted, no compromise.

Just wait it out. No need to jump on some other car as second choice when you got exactly what you want in the near future. Also, used cars typically come with some one else's problems.

I am in a similar situation with my car in a lot in Lansing waiting on shipping for about seven weeks. No information on the situation. Remember, patience is a virtue.
