I can also agree my car breaks the tires loose extremely ease now and throttle response has increased a lot as well.

I have done very many 0 to 60 launches with the stock air box given a lot of different road and weather conditions. Getting it just right with the six speed manual takes some practice. My first launch with the new GM CAI and tune installed yielded my best ever 0 to 60 time. This is by no means as good as back to back dyno data, but I am starting to believe that the car has a bit more power now. I need to do some more launches to see if this was just beginners luck or if it is the new normal.

It may have been mentioned before, but this is available in Canada, comes with the ECM flash/labor and is part of the cost. I called my dealer and he told me that there is one in Ontario, as he couldn't answer the important question about the tune/flash, so he gave me the dealer and # to call. The Ontario dealership confirmed by opening the box and reading the paperwork for me. Only bad thing, there is nothing in stock up here right now...all our US friends keep taking them lol

Does anyone have a good history of 0-60, 0-100 or 1/4 miles times...THEN noted times AFTER the install?

No offense to any of your asses , but I'd like to see some real data.

Is there a before and after dyno? And the car needs some miles to get a true reading. Same day hopefully.

Times / dyno results are needed too. Not just a high IQ as stated on the post from the last page.

Yes but I think most people want the dyno results after the GM tune.

I baselined my SS at 408rwhp stock down to the paper air filter. I planned on going back to the same dyno with the tune and intake on the car but we have had brutal heat and humidity in DC recently, which while the WCF would help, it wouldn't be same day or same conditions to make things overly accurate. I'm afraid I missed the boat to do a true comparison for you guys.

Maybe I could flash back the factory map, put the factory intake back on and go up and do the whole thing again....

MPG

Has anyone who has installed this cold air intake and tune noticed an increase in fuel mileage?

I've only had the Gmpp on my car for two days now with Gm tune and it seems to be up around 2mpgs at 75mph. I have the A8 and V4 mode is still active. It has also made the car noticeable louder at highway speed when in V8 mode.

To get a proper test on the same day one would need to reset the computer for each dyno run so it couldn't use any learned values.

steps:
reset computer
Dyno
Put on CAI
reset computer
Dyno

Not reseting the computer will skew the results. Such as the 2nd CAI could have the engine run lean on the dyno and getting higher numbers. A month later after the computer has learned the CAI the number could easily be lower.

I'm betting there is a reason that GM didn't state a HP/TQ gain for the GMPP CAI.

This.

I'm still very skeptical there is much of a power gain, but then again if there is a little more low/mid punch and especially throttle response improvements that would be awesome. This is the only intake I will consider for this car and I hope to purchase it eventually. My 5th gen I did more and risked my warranty on multiple mods. This time around, plan to keep my warranty.
