Very nice color, but, yep that F end cover is some fugly piece of kit. Fyi, that's not the area that needs protecting on these cars. It is - by and large - the **rear** quater end before the wheels and in some cases bottoms of the doors. Best to install a side skirt which keeps crap flying off the F tires from hitting those rear areas. Enjoy your new ride! Cheers!

LOL! I know, it's not very attractive. So far I have only used it on my 250 mile trip home from the dealership. I had something similar that I used on my C6 for trips.

Hopefully I have protected the sides and the rear quarters. Before I left the dealership my son and I also installed ACS Composite rock guards (front and rear). When I got the car home I installed the ACS side skirts.

Good stuff! The side skirts make the most difference imo. That's all I have on my 2020 and zero issues so far. I had tons of wrap on my 2017 and that was less effective and started to look like shit after a season of tracking the car. Make sure you enhance the rear ends of the side skirts lest crap going inside will punch holes in them eventually. I will see if i can find the pic and post it fyi. Cheers!

This is what you want, or something similar to it, basically protecting the very end on the inside of the skirts rear end.
Otherwise, with time, that end will be opened up and a skirt ruined. The pix show a solution of another member. My mechanic did a similar fix for me. Cheers!

I have ACS rock guards covering the front of each of my side skirts. They also protect the area behind the rear tires.

That's good, but the front tires will still throw stuff up and INTO the skirts and eventually the rear ends of the skirts will bust open. Search on the forum and you shall find pictures of what it looks like. Sorry, I dont think I have saved any of them. The issue is the skirts are open on the inside and anything thrown by the fronts will travel inside them at high velocity and eventually puncture them on the very rear end. Unless they have modified the design. NB it doesnt take much to prevent it by sticking a metal piece at the very rear end of them. See the pix I have attached above. Cheers!

I have zl1 addon rock guards, and after 7700 miles and lots of autocross days on a old beat up parking lot that throws rocks, I have no rock chips behind the rear wheels. The front guards, and both stick out a bit more then acs, do not protect the panel in front of the rear tires, so yeah the rockers do help. I do have PPF fortunately so the paint is protected, but visually you see the hits and little gouges in front of the rear tires in the PPF.Sure glad I did that!
Now with rockers you should be ok unless you drive on beat up roads with gravel. My friends zle had PPF and the gm rockers like yours but still got rock chips here and there autocrossing on our lot.

I didnt have side skirts on my 17, but rock guards on all wheels and PPF. I did 40 track days with it and found that this arrangement didn't provide tons of support to eliminate hits on the doors and rear panels. Also, it was a royal pain to clean the pasted rubber off the PPF. Also, after a while, the PPF started to look like crap. With my 20, I dont have any PPF and frankly prefer it this way, as the side skirts make a huge difference.
But, as I had said before, a few here had ASC side skirts completely damaged at the rear end for the reasons I had mentioned (they are hollow inside). Obviously, your call if you do the simple mod to protect this area, or not. Cheers!

That's a good point. I should look into putting something at the end of the side skirts closest to the rear tire to protect them from damage. I can already hear things hitting the rock guards and the bottom of the side skirts in normal driving.

Yeah on road courses I can only imagine how much more stuff hits the car. Fortunately in autocross it’s slower and no one driving in front of you. I want zl1 style rockers just for looks and to complete the look of the car. They should have had them from the factory to tie in the splitter and valance.

Well, you'll get a lot more benefits than just "the look".

Will help with rocks at least. Just do I want to drill holes and not sure I like the hollow shell vs the boxed factory design. Will see
