The larger headers on a stock engine give up low end torque in exchange for top end flow.

1 7/8 is Red, and 2 inch is Blue and included the MSD intake which is responsible for the loss of torque down low in exchange for big power up top.

Black was our baseline all stock parts.

Thanks for the quick reply Ted and PRAY!
I think I asked my question wrong, I think Pray was on to it...

What causes the ripple between 3500 and 5000 (about 40 ft lbs, peak-peak)?

Is it the VVT or MSD like what Pray stated?

I assume that y'all are referring to the intake manifold however, the stock graph shows a similar ripple.

Maybe I missed it, but was the stock dyno run with or without a tune? was there a tune on all the other runs before the 1 7/8 header run??

Stock was untuned.

As each part was installed it was tune for that part to maximize the gains.

Ted.

Yes GM did an amazing job of squeezing every bit of power out if this engine in Emissions friendly form.

The very reason we run these tests is to find what works well, How well, and what items will give you the most benefit as the consumer.

Don't shake your head at 5 RWHP, the better these cars come from the factory the harder it will be to find that easy power like on previous models.

I have also tested the stock air box on a supercharger with 10 ps boost which moves 60+% more air than a naturally aspirated engine and still only seen 20 RWHP up high in the RPM range.

If the stock air box is not restrictive like previous models then there is not much to gain with aftermarket air boxes.

I hope this helps.

Ted.

What do power you estimate 1 7/8 inch LT headers and e85 give the car in terms of WHP? Both those parts are coming in for me, so I'd like to know what to expect!

I am a tuner, but I worked only on Japanese car.
I just received my 2017 Camaro SS, when my car will have 2000miles, I will dyno it, put a Mishimoto CAI the same day with the same condition, and dyno it, put again stock and dyno it.
I will do the same with a custom tune some weeks after.

I hope to have more than 5whp.
