and on the other foot, look at the FA running backs available. not much there. although I think the draft is chalk full of wr's and rb's this year.

who are we kidding though, i'm pretty sure Murray isn't going anywhere, unless a team just throws to much money at him.

Played 16 games every year but 2011, when he played 14.
He missed the 2 games in 2011 because of a 2 game suspension. He missed a game in 2014 for stepping on Aaron Rodgers leg.

I am pretty sure he has missed more games because of other suspensions or injuries. He been fine every year for some type tackle infraction. He at the point now he will get suspended instead of fines.
Other teams consider him as a dirty player.

The 2 game suspension in 2011 was the only game's he's been suspended for. The 2014 game suspension was overturned after he won his appeal. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ed-to-70k-fine

Here is a list of all of his fines and his one suspension.

I'm not trying to say the guy is a saint, I just think he's worth the risk.

His only knock was that he got injured a lot. only one full season, and that was last year.
I never said the guy wasnt a good RB, he's simply only had 1 great year. That's why you can't sign him to a mega deal. At the end of the day, you have to be smart about it. The Cowboys have had some really good RBs the last few years, they just haven't had good offensive lines for the past few years. In fact, going into this season, I do believe the offensive line was one of the biggest question marks the Cowgirls had....

And if the Eagles didn't fall apart down the stretch, the Cowboys could have easily been out of the playoffs. Adding to that, there's the obvious call that the Lions should have bounced them from the Wildcard round. I understand what you are saying...but Murray played solidly in 2013, and the Cowboys went nowhere because of the injuries the team itself sustained.

Maclin's best season came with Foles/Sanchez at QB... in that time, Sanchez accounted for 9 games at QB. Sanchez threw for 2418 yards, averaging almost 270 a game. Maclin accounted for 686 of those yards on 46 catches. Foles would throw him another almost 800 yards as well. Foles has been a very solid QB and honestly, Sanchez played pretty well all things considered. He has the talent at least.

I'm not talking about giving Murray a mega deal. I'm talking franchise tag him instead of Dez.

The point is, you can replace Murray overnight.... you can't replace Dez... and Dez would have been signed somewhere else the minute he hit free agency...

Not sure that makes a lot of sense. got a spread RB in a smash mouth system. plus McCoy is to make 10mil next year, and i'm hearing he might hold out for more money. Plus the Bills lose a LB that will be very good for the next 8 years or so, if he can stay healthy.

I'll agree about not being sure on the fit in terms of style of running back. However, McCoy is much shiftier than Spiller was, and Spiller did well in Buffalo. McCoy could easily fit this role with his higher level of speed.

Additionally, the Bills defense is already pretty stout...losing a LBer off a knee injury won't hurt them...

Their offense however..... what the Bills should have been trying to do is get Foles..or Hoyer..or even Sanchez....or anyone not named McCown...

No doubt McCoy will make the bills better. He'll make any team better. Just not a huge need for them. Spiller was doing fine, and he could be had for half the price.

Irony of irony.... was talking about the Bills needing a better QB...

Matt Cassel to Buffalo...
