While I'm pretty sure this is pretty close to what we get (based on the FNR-X Concept), I think this is way too much scifi looking for my taste

I have a feeling safety regulations would prevent anything like that from existing in the event of a crash. A metal hood extending all the way to the very front of the car could be a problem.
And where would the latch be and what would it anchor onto? The grill and headlight assembly would. be directly underneath.
