Sorry for the late reply guys... i've been working and the rest of the time i was taking advantage of the nice weather to go for rides in my ZL1.
To answer your question Yves ZL1... i've been gathering the last 5 digits of the L year build Camaro ZL1's first and foremost for my personal amusement and curiosity. As Green ZLE stated in his post... GM has a rather variable way of establishing there VIN numbers on occasion... why? I do not know. I started taking the VIN numbers down at first to try and find out at what frequency the 2020 ZL1 cars had these plaques on the LT4's... because a fellow Canadian ZL1 ...(if you look at the previous posts you can find his post here) he had stated on this forum that at a dealer he visited in his region had 2020 ZL1's on inventory and that most of them did not have these plaques. Hence i found that mysterious and i started taking down the last 5 digits of the 2020 year builds to try to establish if there was a pattern or not. But today, after having contacted GM, what i've learned is that all future Camaro ZL1's will have these hand-built LT4 engines from the Performance Build Center in Bowling Green Kentucky, and will now have these "plaques" on the engines. Take care guys Andrew |

Thanks for the update Drews.
Makes sense to me with the C7 out of production to have the same builders build them for the ZL1 |

Found this quote on corvette forum from someone who works at PBC...
Quote; I just want to clear up a misconception... The engines built at Tonawanda are not robot/machine built. They are assembled on a line by up to 40 people, with assistance of electrical torque machines. At the PBC in Bowling Green, each engine is built from bare block to finish by one builder, with the assistance of electrical torque machines. The use of the electrical torque machines takes out the "Human error" of different builders torquing at different values. It is all part of our error proofing system. All torques are monitored, controlled, collected & verified. So, either team build in Tonawanda or one person, one engine in Bowling Green, you get the same quality, but, a PBC engine comes with a bonus. A name tag of the person that took the time to look at each and every part that went into your engine, the name tag of the person that touched and inspected every part of your engine and the pride that builder takes when his or her name tag is placed on your engine. Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum but have been lurking in the shadows for the last several months lol. I came across this interesting topic here but have not found a similar one for the Camaro SS 1LE. To my surprise my 2020 SS 1LE has this Same tag located under the driver side fuel rail cover attached to the side of the intake manifold cover.
